The second wave of Nezuko convention photos from CD27 Chengdu Anime Convention, this time mainly featuring a set shot under outdoor green shade. To recreate the character's setting of being afraid of the sun while ensuring the face has sufficient soft light, we specially chose an area where tree shade and green maple leaves intertwine for the shoot. In the photos, I maintained the character's original calm yet slightly childish demeanor, with the focus on controlling my gaze. The purple contact lenses have a nice light transmittance under natural light, and the design of looking slightly upward or with a hint of emptiness is presented after many adjustments. The handheld bamboo muzzle prop was specially adjusted for weight and size; the curvature when biting fits the face closely, maintaining the character's iconic features without affecting basic facial expressions. The combination of the wig and hair accessories looks very realistic under outdoor natural light. The brownish-red gradient at the hair ends has rich layers, and the small white bow on top of the head also restores the original design. In this set of photos, I tried several different states. In addition to the static presentation of sitting quietly and resting my chin on my hands, I also added movements with both hands stretching forward, attempting to simulate the character's instinctive reaction to protect those around her when facing danger. The high-angle view enhanced the tension of the pose. Large green maple leaves serve as blurred foreground elements, giving the frame composition clear layers and preventing it from looking visually monotonous. The surrounding environment of the anime convention was quite bustling, but the atmosphere of this small outdoor grove was unexpectedly quiet. Capturing the strands of hair fluttering as the wind blew, along with the dappled light and shadow filtering through the gaps in the branches and leaves, was immensely helpful in restoring the character's personality. This counts as a very successful outdoor project. The texture of this kimono's asaha-patterned haori is more convincing under natural light than in studio photography, making the presented light and shadow effects look much more natural.
