[Luo Tianyi Cosplay] Frozen Moments of Pure Blue Illusion Tour

This set of photos records a look from the Luo Tianyi Pure Blue Illusion Tour. Blending the dreamy ice-blue atmosphere into a church-style setting required extensive preparation for every detail, from the outfit to the props. Many might think this blue and white outfit looks naturally light and ethereal, but in reality, keeping the skirt's voluminous layering and elegant drape required multiple layers of stiff mesh and structural framing inside to maintain perfect curves while holding the staff or moving, rather than clinging flatly against my legs.

The wig was the soul of this look. To recreate Luo Tianyi's light blue curly hair, I adjusted the tips, side bangs, and top loops repeatedly. The hair accessories, beyond the large blue bow, included several made of semi-transparent iridescent materials that reflected delicate glints under intense studio lighting. To prevent accessories from obscuring my vision during poses, plenty of invisible clips and hot glue were used for secure fastening.

The overall accessories were intricate, featuring silver-grey metallic semi-rings on the shoulders and ruffled lace on the sleeves. What appeared to be gilded metal accents were actually achieved through mixed fabric paneling and specialized printing, preserving visual luxury while reducing overall weight so I wouldn't tire during hours of shooting. On my feet, white high heels paired with blue-and-white checkered stockings elongated my silhouette significantly.

The long staff prop used that day was another highlight—exceptionally long, featuring finely carved patterns and metallic sheen on the handle. To showcase its best front-facing perspective, I deliberately adjusted my hand posture so my wrist and arm extended along the staff, avoiding stiffness on camera. The studio was arranged with rich props: white Roman pillars, blue-and-white stained glass windows, white tabletop floral arrangements, silver candle holders, along with golden picture frames and floor mirrors scattered across the floor. These real-set arrangements, paired with shiny blue fabric spread below, brought light and shadow layering to its absolute peak.

As for the little plush doll in the corner, that was a subtle personal touch I snuck in. Its blue and white color scheme blended seamlessly into the environment, adding a playful touch of life to an otherwise cool and glamorous scene. Shooting angles and lighting were meticulously calibrated as well; the photographer avoided warm studio lighting, deliberately preserving cool-toned highlights combined with reflector panels to make the white gauze and blue ribbons look beautifully translucent, almost as if glowing.

Before settling on the final shots, we tested various poses, including spinning, turning sideways, and kneeling. The two selected photos—one a close-up holding the staff while leaning forward, and the other a full-figure shot reaching out with fabric—best captured the structural tension of the outfit and Luo Tianyi's calm confidence on stage. The off-the-shoulder design, high-waisted cut, and thigh accents formed by stockings and metal rings maintained elegance while preserving visual tension, preventing the look from feeling heavy or muted.

Overall, shooting this tour look served as a meaningful creative challenge. From researching references, sourcing materials, and styling the wig to adjusting attire, securing props, and collaborating with the photographer on set, I participated in every single step. Though tedious—especially the time spent slipping into and adjusting the costume—seeing the final results capture that ethereal elf aura with a white dress, blue skirt, and long staff made every effort worthwhile. That is the true charm of Cosplay photography: pouring heart and soul into bringing beloved characters and looks to life.
