[Phoebe Cosplay] May the Sentinel Guide the Way Home, Gentle Moments in Wuthering Waves

Tried on this Phoebe costume with a main color scheme of white, blue, and black, and carried out a deep freeze-frame shoot indoors. The texture of the costume is actually much more complex than it looks, especially the dark blue woven tassels and metal chains at the collar. To keep them draped naturally, I adjusted them for quite a while before starting the shoot. That large white wide-brimmed hat is the key to the visual focus; the binding angle of the black satin ribbon and the striped drape elements embellished on both sides must be positioned to coordinate with the flow of the wig.

The collaboration with photographer wifi this time was highly seamless. We first tried several different lighting schemes indoors during this indoor photography session. This time, we mainly utilized the softbox on the left side, cooperating with the indoor natural light, to create a sense of frame that is both sharp and carries a soft rim light. Especially the light and shadow cut-angles on the wooden floor made the three-dimensional outline of the figure more prominent. The luster reflected by the side-backlighting on the royal blue cloak gave the entire costume's color layers an exceptional richness.

During the shoot, I intentionally tried several different states. In terms of composition, it balanced both upper-body close-ups and full-body postures. Considering that the character carries a guide-like trait in the story, I didn't make too many exaggerated expressions, trying my best to face the camera with a calm and sincere gaze. However, the most relaxed part of this shoot was actually the set of photos completed at the very end when I changed into the white thigh-highs outfit, took off my long boots, and sat on the plush carpet. The white tights could beautifully extend the leg lines. After removing the white mid-to-high boots, the overall atmosphere shed some formality, adding a touch of leisurely comfort as if taking a brief rest during a long journey.

In fact, in this character look, the accessories surrounding the costume are tremendous. Besides the ribbons on the hat, the wide bell-shaped flare cuffs of the sleeves, the black leather gloves, and the pleated skirt hem with black striped decorations—every single detail works together to construct this character's recognizability. To make the shoot fit closer to the feeling of a "journey home" in the theme, the background selected a dark green curtain and a light-colored wooden floor. This collision between cool and warm tones brought out a touch of tranquility and mystery.

I feel the most ideal visual transmission in this photoset is that despite standing in a fixed, small indoor space, one can still be reminded of the extensive expansion of the vast world through the costume, gaze, and light and shadow. The natural extension of the legs in Image 6, as well as the boots and leg accessories placed aside, actually intends to transmit a sense of reality briefly detached from the character setting. I hope through this set of photos, everyone can see some approachability in this look besides its gorgeousness. The shooting process this time was highly pleasant, not lacking reflections on costume materials and light/shadow orchestration—it was a very heartful attempt under this cosplay project.
