[Feixiao Cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail, Jade Plumes and Golden Steed Piercing the Heavenly Wolf

Today, after getting the entire set of outfit and props completely organized, I officially began shooting this Feixiao set in the studio. What took the most thought during the whole process was the layering and proportions of this costume, especially the drape of the white trench coat and the tailoring of the inner cyan-blue bodysuit. Wanting to simultaneously express the General's crisp sharpness and feminine softness indeed required quite a lot of preparation.

The fox-eared styling on the head and the layering of the hair strands were also key. The silver-white long hair was given a cyan-blue gradient treatment, matching the red mark on the forehead and the red tassels by the ears, hoping to restore that both agile and dangerous combat posture. The volume inside the two animal ears and the hair texture on the outside also took the makeup artist a lot of effort, but fortunately, the final effect looks relatively natural without any stiff plastic feel.

For this shoot, we prepared two large props: a blue-and-gold color-blocked greatsword and a long polearm weapon. The actual weight in hand was quite a bit heavier than I expected, especially when resting it horizontally on my shoulder, which required keeping my posture upright and placed demands on core strength. But it's precisely because of this authentic weight that the momentum when swinging the weapon came out more naturally, rather than a pure staged pose. Holding the long-handled spear tightly in the smoke-filled setting, I tried tilting my wrists and lowering my center of gravity, wanting to restore that precision of a martial artist on the battlefield.

The photographer very mindfully set up a traditional Chinese courtyard style scene. The wooden background panels, paired with bamboo branches and cherry blossoms, plus that glowing full moon prop in the background, instantly gave the entire set of photos a visual color atmosphere grounded in traditional Chinese fantasy. It's particularly worth mentioning the white plush rug spread on the floor and the smoke machine, which together made me feel as if I were truly standing in the courtyard of some immortal mountain secret realm. During the shoot, ashes and smoke often got in my eyes, but to maintain the focus and cold aura of my gaze, I had to silently recall the core personality of the character before each shutter press.

My personal favorite is the one where I'm sitting on a wooden chair holding a small teacup. After a long period of combat poses, it's rare to have a slightly relaxed scene, with legs slightly crossed and holding a small teacup, which can fully display the design details of the leg boots and straps. The design of this lower wear is very layered; black shorts paired with leg rings and long boots have both the toughness in styling and certain elements of sexiness, which perfectly fits Feixiao's wild yet exquisite setting as a Fox-eared General.

The makeup this time was kept quite clear and translucent, emphasizing the blue eye color and the sharp peaks of the brows. The lip color didn't use an overly intense red, but instead chose a slightly pink matte texture to harmonize with the overall hair color. The dark lines and geometric cut-out patterns on the white coat also became a major highlight during close-up shots; such details often best reflect the professionalism of the costume's production. Although I was constantly on the move in the studio for several hours and endured various slashing poses while carrying the heavy sword, it was incredibly satisfying to be able to freeze this outfit and the character's spirit through the lens.
