[Misaki cosplay] Quiet Moments in Blue Archive, A Unique Take on the Anime cheongsam

Preparing for the shoot of these two styles actually took quite a long time. After communicating with photographer Xia Shiyi, we finally settled on this dark blue-dominated Anime cheongsam. The high-collar design and golden subtle patterns give the garment immense texture. The wig features a dark blue gradient with double buns, accented by light blue bow accessories, beautifully outlining Ryuge Kisaki's classical yet aloof and composed temperament. Photo one features a clean solo Anime cheongsam look, where specialized lighting highlights skin texture and fabric weave, with a vintage leather suitcase brought along as a prop to enhance narrative depth. Here, I chose to take off my black high heels and place them to the side, stepping barefoot onto a pure white circular display stage, adding a touch of relaxation and elusive reality to an otherwise serious look.

For photo two, I casually added a grey-blue striped jacket draped over my shoulders, instantly shifting the overall feel to a lazy, carefree vibe—resembling a brief rest while packing bags during a trip. The wide cuffs and draped stripes contrast sharply with the tight-fitting Anime cheongsam; this balanced combination materializes the character's traits of having an inner sharpness while appearing casual and free-spirited on the outside. The wig styling and hair accessory placement were also adjusted multiple times to ensure her signature dignity is maintained whether looking up or down.

This shoot was completed at Kasumi Studio, where the minimalist grey-blue backdrop wall and pure white platform wonderfully complemented skin tones. The Studio photography lighting setup was highly professional, capturing exceptionally clear, translucent skin. Throughout the process, I needed to engage my core muscles for long periods to maintain an upright posture, particularly while preserving that cold yet calm gaze, which was quite physically demanding. However, working with an in-sync photographer kept the Studio photography pacing smoothly controlled, making the entire experience comfortable despite the intricate outfit. The joy of cosplay often lies in polishing these details and sparking chemistry during real shooting; every time I view the final images, I feel my understanding of the character has gained a more authentic concrete mapping. This dark blue outfit presents rich textures under varying light and shadows, and I hope everyone can feel the subtle ingenuity behind these prop choices and outfit pairings through my photos.
