For this Blue Archive Shimoe Koharu swimsuit shoot, most of our energy went into channeling the character's atmospheric charm. The pink twintails and halo are the soul of the look—the halo was custom-crafted from transparent acrylic, and the ultra-thin black cord holding it across my forehead was an essential detail. The bandages wrapped around my leg stayed faithful to her lore; although shooting outdoors in the summer heat made sweating under the wrap inevitable, I pushed through the entire session to maximize that endearing gap-moe contrast of a bandaged, yet spirited character.

The location was an outdoor Summer pool with brilliant light, but the harsh afternoon sun and intense water reflections risked casting deep facial shadows. To counter this, we brought two large reflector boards to bounce fill light onto my face and body, ensuring luminous catchlights in my eyes. The swimsuit fabric is featherlight, with a snug cut that traces feminine curves cleanly. Chromatically, the classic white-and-pink palette contrasted sharply with the pool's deep blues, lending a crisp, cooling tone to the frame.

For posing, I referenced iconic 2D anime illustrations, such as sitting on a poolside barstool flashing peace signs or crossing legs out naturally. These postures effortlessly contoured leg lines, which, combined with barefoot details and bandage textures, evoked both youthful innocence and subtle mature allure. Stepping barefoot onto the cool stone slabs felt vivid; fine-tuning foot arch curves and toe angles took considerable time to seize the most natural posture.

As a Swimsuit cosplay project, the priority was capturing effortless, authentic poolside lifestyle rather than stiff studio poses. Placing the stool at the water's edge allowed my legs to stretch out toward the ripples, where shimmering reflections added tremendous depth. Retouching preserved authentic skin and water gleam, avoiding plastic over-smoothing. With translucent bandages on my arm and her signature sheer chest band, gazing into the lens or glancing back delivered effortless purity. Navigating tourist clutter and water droplets to create clean compositions made this two-hour shoot exhausting yet deeply rewarding.
