Before shooting, I put a lot of thought into the makeup and hair styling. Her signature blue hair styled into lively double buns on both sides, accented with blue butterfly hair accessories, immediately evokes a cool, aloof feel with a touch of Traditional Chinese style flair. Outfit-wise, I chose to layer a dark blue sleeveless Traditional Chinese style top, whose gold embroidery on the chest carries an inherent vintage refinement, while an outer dark-blue-and-white striped long shirt adds an effortless, relaxed vibe. To stay true to character lore, I specially paired it with Black stockings; wearing the coat half-draped to reveal the inner top nicely balances the heavy texture of the long coat, streamlining the overall silhouette.
The props for this shoot are also quite eye-catching: the wooden Chinese armchair lends a rustic, antique texture, echoing wonderfully with the vintage hardshell suitcase beside it. Most fun of all was introducing several plush dolls—they perfectly replicate the character's hairstyle, outfit, and even her butterfly hair accessories. Scattering them around the chair armrests, on my shoulder, and beside the luggage adds playful interest while softening her otherwise cold aura. From leaning back in the chair to stretching out legs in relaxation, every frame tries to capture Misaki's composed, effortless, yet powerfully authoritative presence.
To find the best angles during shooting, I experimented with various sitting poses. Particularly in the dynamic leg-lifting shots, the Black stockings display a natural texture and sheen under soft lighting, where slender leg lines echo her fashionable edge. The garment fabric is highly breathable, preventing any sense of stifling heaviness while moving around the studio. The armrests of the Chinese armchair provided great support, making casual leaning poses feel completely natural. I focused heavily on eye contact and gaze, maintaining a subtle touch of reserve and cool aloofness suited to her identity as council president. Serving as a backdrop, the vintage suitcase brought a relaxed, traveler-like flavor. Without overly complex staging, the entire photoset relies on costume details, prop coordination, and light play to highlight character temperament.
Unbuttoning the striped shirt to drape as a shawl or letting it hang loosely at the waist are both ways to convey her composed ease. Pairing with Black stockings creates a strong visual slimming effect, sharpening the overall silhouette. Capturing behind-the-scenes shots with the plushies after the official shoot wrapped also caught an unexpectedly cute side of her. Throughout the process, I strove to immerse myself in a calm, confident rhythm, extending my posture to fill out the composition. This experience was not only a creative re-interpretation of the character, but also a harmonious synergy with the studio atmosphere.
