Rolling my suitcase into the guest lounge at the Zhengzhou anime convention, today's schedule was packed to the brim. As an invited convention guest, my primary duties were hosting autograph sessions and interacting with fans at the booth. Taking advantage of brief downtimes, I quickly used smartphone photography to document these diverse styling looks.

The first look featured a wide-brimmed white straw hat paired with blonde hair; the blue-and-white stripes and cross ornament on the brim added delicate detail. Wearing gloves while holding my phone for selfies, I adjusted my chin angle so the lighting fell cleanly across my face. For the second look, I switched to long black hair with red contact lenses; the white crown on top was remarkably eye-catching. The garment's cut was exceptionally tailored to my figure, flattering the collarbone and neckline just right. The butterfly tattoo on my left shoulder was an intentional accent, which, paired with the gold choker and earrings, pushed the commanding aura to the max. To capture high textural clarity, I found a relatively clean green-and-white backdrop in the hall, centering myself in the frame with my arm raised naturally to let the red nail polish contrast sharply against the black sleeve cuffs.

The third styling featured light blue-violet short hair; to match the white feather wings on my back and layered pearl necklaces, the makeup emphasized highlighters and glitter, with the red gem decal under my left eye standing out brilliantly through the phone lens. Moving around an Anime carnival in such an ethereal fairy-like look required extra care to protect the wing props. The fourth look was light blue short hair leaning toward casual streetwear: a grey off-the-shoulder knit sweater paired with a blue silk scarf, flashing a peace sign in a denim jacket for a relaxed, effortless vibe—perfect for unwinding between booth sessions. The fifth styling showcased platinum-blonde long straight hair in a blue-and-white porcelain-inspired sleeveless mandarin collar qipao, holding a matching white-and-blue patterned folding fan. This traditional Chinese aesthetic always enjoys great popularity at conventions, and many fans praised the pattern during signings. The final look featured short pink hair with white cutout designs and blue-violet gradient tassels, where a silver cross at the collar and ruffled cuffs injected a sweet-and-cool flair paired with pink-toned eye makeup.

Serving as a guest actually consumes far more stamina than casually browsing the expo. To keep makeup pristine across multiple outfit changes, breaks were spent continually touching up. Managing wigs is also quite technical, especially short styles that need regular touch-ups with straighteners and setting spray to maintain fluffiness and bang direction. Yet amidst the rush, snapping selfies or candid shots and seeing these thoughtfully prepared costumes, props, and makeup details come alive through the camera brought tremendous fulfillment. Wrapping up a full day of signings and photo-ops, packing away every accessory and outfit, and wiping off the heavy makeup back at the hotel as the convention's bustle faded away, these photos remain the very best record of the day.
