[Misaki Cosplay] Blue Archive — Collision of Pure White High-Collar Sweater and Light Blue Studio

For this shoot, I chose this white high-collar sleeveless knitted sweater to interpret the character Misaki. The blue and white color scheme presents a very clean visual contrast against the light blue background, so the studio chose solid-color light blue seamless background paper paired with high-brightness softbox lighting to minimize shadows as much as possible, creating a bright, translucent feel similar to high-key photography. For makeup, I referenced the character's original cool yet gentle disposition without dramatic eye makeup, placing the focus instead on wig styling. This long, straight blue hair shows fantastic luster under studio lights, and the straight bangs together with the drape of the long side locks perfectly match the cute winter aesthetic setting.

Regarding outfit details, this sweater was custom-made: the high collar is structured so it doesn't shorten the neck, and the sleeveless design felt comfortable under the ample heating of the studio. The surface of the sweater features a white crochet sweater knit texture, so in macro or front-lit shots, it showcases the soft texture of the garment while retaining a subtle, breathable glimpse of skin, which, combined with the inner straps, gives the overall visual effect more layers. The white animal-eared hood worn on the head is the biggest highlight—the fluffy material feels very cozy to the touch, with long hanging straps on both sides adorned with white pompoms at the ends, which, paired with color-matched plush wrist cuffs on my wrists, added to the overall sweetness. The foot decorations also received careful thought: white knitted foot covers were embellished with light blue bow ribbons and small blue pompoms, forming a top-to-bottom color harmony with the blue hair, animal ears, and the blue tones of the set. Since it was a studio shoot, I went with a barefoot look, which made the composition cleaner and crisper without shoes.

Posing design during the shoot emphasized demonstrating both the character's personality and the outfit's features. The first picture used a kneeling pose with a lowered center of gravity, with my right hand gently lifting my blue hair and a natural, composed expression. This pose displays the upper body sweater cut and wrist accessory details nicely, giving a gentle and reserved impression. The second picture switched to a single-leg standing posture with body weight on one leg and the other naturally raised backward, raising my right hand to hold the edge of the hood—this action carries a lighter, more dynamic feeling while completely displaying leg lines and ankle decorations. Throughout the entire shoot, coordination with photographer @九九九是月 was very seamless; every movement required caution to avoid pulling heavily on the wig or sweater, ensuring that each time the shutter clicked, the wig stayed smooth and the clothing texture remained in top condition.

Shooting characters with this cool aura actually tests gaze delivery, requiring appropriate blank space and expression control—not smiling too sweetly, yet not remaining entirely expressionless, but finding that state of \"appearing calm without feeling distant.\" The studio temperature was specially turned up higher, so even when shooting for long periods in a sleeveless sweater, it didn't feel uncomfortable, keeping my state more natural. Post-processing color grading also prioritized preserving the original photo's pure white, clear translucency, with simple skin tone adjustments to make the cold-warm contrast more comfortable without looking overly pale.

Overall, this set of photos faithfully recreated that daily yet distinct personal style image of the character. Whether it's the design of the costume itself, the presentation of the wig, or the studio lighting, everything served this theme. When shooting characters with high-saturation hair colors, environmental white space is indeed important so the visual doesn't look cluttered. A light blue background wall plus a white high-collar sweater and vivid blue long hair is a cool-toned color combination that's challenging to master, but the final results achieved the expected cool yet sweet atmosphere. Walking out of the studio after the shoot, I felt this look was beautifully recorded by the lens, making it a very enjoyable studio session.
