[Hifumi cosplay] Blue Archive Summer Swimsuit: Cooling Off with Yellow Rubber Ducks

For this shoot, I tried out Hifumi's (Hifumi cosplay) swimsuit look from Blue Archive, and the resulting photos brought out an even richer summer vibe than I had imagined.

Starting with the styling: to capture the character's soft, sweet, and slightly playful essence, I chose a light blonde long Twintails wig featuring subtle darker root gradients, accented by two small white wing-shaped hair accessories. The makeup utilized generous pink blush paired with amber-toned contact lenses, keeping the eye makeup clear, innocent, and bright. The black round sunglasses perched atop the head and that yellow halo hair accessory are truly the soul of this design—putting them on made the character instantly recognizable.

The wardrobe is a predominantly white two-piece swimsuit. The ruffled neckline and slender black straps create wonderful dimension, while the off-the-shoulder cut is visually flattering and slimming. Crisp black line accents throughout prevent the white silhouette from feeling too plain.

The set was an indoor artificial beach and pool setup, framed by a blue wooden wall, surfboards, and colorful lifebuoys. The prop team prepared a multitude of yellow rubber ducks scattered across the sand, atop inflatable mats, and in my hands. Pairing this vivid yellow against the white swimsuit made the overall color palette feel vibrant and lively.

Several little details during the shoot are worth noting. When sitting on the white beach lounge chair, the firm frame required keeping my back straight and crossing my legs to elongate my posture. Using the rubber ducks or sunglasses as interactive props naturally resolved any awkwardness about where to rest my hands. For instance, perching a yellow duck atop my head or lightly grasping the halo accessory with one hand while looking toward the lens allowed us to capture very candid moments.

In the shots sitting cross-legged on the yellow inflatable float, the soft cushion demanded engaged core muscles to hold good posture. Pointing the arches of my feet lengthened leg lines, while a slightly languid gaze framed against blue ocean balls added great depth to the shot. For the pose crouching by the blue-and-white checkered pool tiles, ambient light reflecting across the water surface produced shimmering ripples. Gripping the pool ladder or lightly tugging the swimsuit hemline highlighted the garment's texture and captured subtle, emotive expressions.

The indoor heat throughout the shoot was a real test of endurance and stamina, but seeing the synergy between the set and lighting made every drop of sweat worthwhile. This photo set blends the crisp coolness of a poolside summer with my personal interpretation of the character, and I hope it delivers a refreshing wave of Summer beach energy to everyone.
