This time I cosplayed Takanashi Hoshino from Blue Archive, going with her summer swimsuit styling. The long pink-gradient hair was styled into twin-tails, topped with her iconic pink halo and blue-and-pink sunglasses resting on her forehead. Around my neck hung a red collar with a large golden bell, and her signature heterochromia eye makeup was intricately detailed. For the outfit, I wore a two-piece white ruffle bikini layered under an oversized bright blue sun-protection jacket with a naturally draped hem. In my hands was a pink toy water gun fitted with a beverage-can-like attachment at the nozzle, accompanied by a blue-and-white striped inflatable swim ring nearby. The shoot was staged in the outdoor area around the CICF convention, with green shrubs and modern buildings serving as the backdrop. To capture her characteristic blend of languid nonchalance and subtle playfulness, I made numerous adjustments to my poses. The first setup had me sitting sideways on one leg on the mat, lifting the toy gun with one hand while shielding the sun with the other against my forehead—the blue anklet around my ankle was a deliberate little detail kept visible. The subsequent shots featured kneeling or cross-legged postures, letting the blue jacket slide off the shoulders naturally to highlight the crop-top cut and waistline. Outdoor shooting really tests your stamina: squinting under direct sunlight was a constant challenge, requiring micro-adjustments of head angles to ensure catchlights in the eyes, all while minding the drape of the clothes and the placement of props to keep the composition looking effortless and relaxed. The fabric had some sheen under intense light, so post-processing slightly deepened the tones for a softer contrast between blue and pink. Overall, the shoot nicely captured the breezy, lighthearted ambiance of a summer getaway, and the toy gun and swim ring props added plenty of storytelling charm to the frames.
