Putting on this summer-exclusive look and coming to the sun-drenched open-air pool side, today's photoshoot record begins. The theme this time is refreshing and dynamic, with the location set by a tropical-style pool featuring glass-window buildings and green palm trees as the backdrop. Though braving the scorching summer heat, stepping into the cool pool water instantly wraps me in refreshing chill.

For this styling, I chose a navy blue thin-strapped one-piece swimsuit paired with a loose, thin-striped long shirt jacket. Draping the jacket over shoulders or wearing it properly gives different vibes, shielding from the sun while adding an airy flow when the wind blows. The white over-the-knee socks on my legs serve as the finishing touch, looking exceptionally clean against the pool's off-white ground and water surface. The hairstyle was arranged into twin buns, accompanied by a white crescent-shaped ornament on top and blue flower balls, rendering it fresh yet distinctive.

As for props, a long red-and-black prop gun was brought in; this contrast between everyday relaxed vibes and heavy gear gives the visual more tension, preventing it from feeling monotonous.

During the shoot, the photographer suggested more interaction to bring the frame to life. For example, in the first picture standing on one leg in the shallow water area with the gun barrel pointed toward the lens—though my hands seem to control the pose, walking underwater actually requires conscious balance control. My favorite is the water-kicking shot: sitting on the concrete edge of the pool with my long legs submerged, watching a string of sparkling water droplets splash up, full of dynamic energy. As sunlight angled down, the droplets reflected subtle, translucent light, making the light and shadow texture feel remarkably natural.

There was also the posture standing by the pool and looking back; a gentle breeze caught the hem of my jacket, effortlessly radiating a relaxed and lazy ambiance. Lastly, the composition of standing sideways while holding the gun over my shoulder elongated my body lines, looking crisp and clean against the blue sky and white buildings behind.

Throughout the entire day's shoot, water splashes were the best helper for bringing agility to the frame. Treading water, splashing, or touching the water surface with toes—capturing these dynamic motions easily yields extremely natural moments. Of course, when doing a summer pool photo shoot in hot weather, sun protection and staying hydrated are crucial, otherwise uneven skin tone or physical exhaustion can easily happen. Fortunately, palm trees and building shadows at the location provided plenty of rest areas.

This set of photos mainly aims to restore the refreshing side of the character in summer, avoiding overly complex postures to let the whole picture melt naturally into the pool environment. The pairing of the one-piece swimsuit with the long jacket, plus the visual extension of white socks, gave the overall styling great proportions in the frame. Some shots utilized candid perspectives to capture the most relaxed expressions while kicking water, which is precisely the natural vitality we wanted to convey.

Postures were repeatedly fine-tuned during the shooting process; standing on one leg required solid core strength to resist buoyancy and water currents, while sitting by the pool meant considering clothing placement and angles to ensure a slim yet natural look on camera. Fortunately, the final results turned out great, with the jacket serving as a sun-protection shawl that formed wonderful visual layering before the lens.

When selecting photos, the atmosphere of these few shots moved me most—whether the dynamic energy of splashing water or the quiet look leaning against the pool edge, both beautifully recreated the spontaneity and vitality I wanted to express that summer. This Anime cosplay photoshoot not only carried the character's own traits, but also fully integrated outdoor sunlight, water ripples, and lush greenery, making it a delightfully happy summer outdoor log. I hope this Cosplay sharing can also help everyone understand shooting techniques against summer pool backdrops, especially regarding dynamic candid shooting and styling coordination.
