[Arona cosplay] The Blue Devil in Blue Archive effortless rocks the Gymnastics uniform outfit

Putting on this iconic Arona Gymnastics uniform outfit, I completed this shoot at Zhuantang's Bunienee Studio with photographer Bread Dog.

First, let's talk about the overall styling preparation. This time, the light blue-gray wig was highlighted with soft pink tones, keeping the color saturation gentle. Paired with the white bow on top of my head and the glowing blue halo, visually it captures the character's recognizability while maintaining that unique anime lightness. The Gymnastics uniform features a classic white T-shirt with navy blue trim, and sports shorts paired with high-top white sneakers on the bottom half, leaning toward a casual sporty style. Compared to intricate, gorgeous gowns, this fresh outfit actually tests the model's presence more, as there are no heavy accessories to distract the eye, placing full visual focus on the character's natural aura and posture.

The studio setting was arranged with great care, turned into an old-fashioned classroom bathed in afternoon sunlight. The wooden podium, desks, chairs, and vintage props in the corner—such as an old radio and a red-cased TV—greatly enriched the retro texture of the frame. To match the casual, lively vibe of the Gymnastics uniform, we specifically picked a red backpack as an interactive prop; its bright red color brightened up the visual frame dominated by wood, blue, and white. What I loved most were the striped shadows cast through the Venetian blinds—interlacing light and dark completely filled the afternoon with a lazy, quiet mood.

Throughout the entire shoot, we adjusted poses around the core theme of "liveliness." The printed papers scattered across the floor weren't placed randomly; they were arranged to create a slightly messy, lived-in feel after school or during break time. I tried various poses, such as kneeling on the floor holding the red backpack, putting one hand on my hip for a stronger presence, or sitting on the edge of a desk holding a water bottle while looking sideways at the camera. Especially in those shots sitting on the desk with my legs naturally crossed, the cut of the sports shorts accentuated my leg lines nicely. With relaxed limbs, it effortlessly conveyed the character's playful yet tsundere personality without forced posing.

In post-processing, instead of high-contrast cold tones, I kept the warm orange-yellow light from the original shots, giving the images more room to breathe. The glowing effect of the blue halo was also softly blended so it integrated more naturally with the ambient classroom lighting.

The delivery of this set went smoothly, thanks to the chemistry between the model and photographer, as well as the incredible scene already built in the studio. The Blue Devil finally has this casual and relaxed side, and I hope everyone can feel the healing vibe belonging uniquely to late summer and early autumn in these pictures.
