I shot this outdoor set for Aisaka Taiga, choosing a location next to abandoned railroad tracks and old train carriages. This kind of industrial wasteland scene fits her tough-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside temperament quite well. Her long orange curly hair was styled into a high ponytail, paired with the black Sailor suit and over-the-knee black socks; the classic Palmtop Tiger look felt just right the moment I put it on. The wooden sword prop was the finishing touch—whether holding it over my shoulder or horizontally across my chest, it added a lot of tension to the frame. During the shoot, I tried several different poses, such as walking on the tracks, leaning against the train steps, and sitting on the gravel, using the light and wind to bring movement to the hair strands and capture that teenage vibe with a hint of rebellion. Although the outfit itself is relatively simple, it is precisely this clean school uniform style that tests the expression of demeanor even more. The lighting in the final photos is very translucent, and it manages to recreate some of that youthful yet slightly stubborn atmosphere from Toradora! I really like the tone of this shoot.
