This Vol.2 official set of Sigrid from Zenless Zone Zero is finally ready to share with everyone (Sigrid cosplay). The overall visual tone for this shoot was set to an Industrial style post-apocalyptic wasteland; to authentically capture the character's cool yet subtly feral temperament, we poured immense effort into fine costume and prop details. The outfit incorporates numerous mechanical structures: a white primary base with brown spliced paneling, complemented by a metallic neck guard and shoulder armor plates, giving it substantial physical presence once worn. The blonde locks and oversized beast ears are focal points of the styling; the gradient inner fluff of the ears and metallic headband caught the lighting with superb texture, which, paired with pale-blue contact lenses, brought the entire look vividly to life in this cosplay.
The location was set in an abandoned graffiti-covered warehouse. Red oil drums, numbered green military ammo crates, and stacked black tires were placed on set—these hardcore elements provided robust structural support for the backdrop. To showcase the character's combat stances, the photographer had me experiment with diverse dynamic postures, such as stepping onto ammo boxes or perching atop an oil drum. The white polearm weapon and the translucent circular disc prop on my left arm adorned with blue petal patterns were absolute scene-stealers. The spear's black tip and blue starlight motifs gleamed with sharp menace under the studio lights, while the translucent shield glowed with crystalline icy-blue hues in backlighting. Although maintaining these high-tension postures demanded considerable core stability, witnessing the interplay of light and shadow in the final frames made every bit of effort worthwhile.
The camera gear setup for this shoot was equally formidable. Photographer Masaka wielded a SONY A7M5 paired with the FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM II lens, maintaining pinpoint focus even in complex, low-light studio conditions. The set lighting juxtaposed warm spotlights against cool-blue ambient illumination: the warm light cast gorgeous rim highlights across the hair strands, while the cool tones underscored the sci-fi atmosphere of the environment, lending striking dimensional depth to the composition. The 24-70mm focal range offered exceptional versatility when switching between waist-up close-ups and full-body stances, perfectly seizing dynamic, split-second action shots.
It's also worth highlighting the guest appearance by Irene. Cosplayed by Gu Yanyi, she wore a red-and-black dress with adorable pink twin tails. Interacting before the camera, the clash between our cool and fiery palettes brought tremendous vitality to the scenes, yielding duo two-shots with an unexpectedly magnetic atmosphere. The entire shoot went smoothly, with everyone continuously repositioning props and fine-tuning strobe brightness to recreate the character's most authentic combat state.
From costume fittings and prop assembly to on-location shooting, this photoshoot absorbed immense dedication from our entire crew. Sincere thanks to everyone for their teamwork; through this process, I developed an even deeper appreciation for the character. The textural richness of this Industrial style wasteland set is vividly portrayed in the final edits, fusing cold, rigid steel with the character's commanding presence into an Anime-style photography presentation I am deeply proud of (Zenless Zone Zero).
