The visual focal point of the styling was centered on color harmony, strictly regulating everything—from the wig and colored contacts to the undergarments and outer layers—within a cohesive blue, white, and cool-grey palette.
This Swimsuit cosplay ensemble actually incorporates a tremendous amount of layered detail. Although built upon a blue-and-white foundation, the white top features ruffles and an off-the-shoulder cut, while the inner blue halter swimsuit and waist tie-cords serve as key focal points. To flatter body proportions, the skirt was tailored in a high-waisted pleated silhouette that billowed naturally while walking, perfectly matching the breezy vibe of the Summer Cool Festival. For footwear, I paired clear chunky-heeled sandals that provided comfort during prolonged standing while elongating leg lines. The heel height was rigorously road-tested to ensure safe grip on the slick booth floor, balancing aesthetics with practical stability.
For the wig, I selected a silver-grey base with a delicate touch of icy blue, finished with blunt bangs and side braids for a unified look. To align with the racial lore of the character, adding the elf-ear prosthetic accessories created Silver hair, elf ears that didn't feel out of place at all, but rather injected a touch of fantasy charm into the styling. Ocean-blue contact lenses echoed the primary palette. Makeup emphasized radiant translucency around the eyes, with soft reddish blush feathered across the cheeks and bridge of the nose to evoke lively summer vitality. For the base, I relied on high-endurance liquid foundation; because convention floor lighting is intensely concentrated and the ambient temperature runs high, setting the face with both loose powder and setting spray was an essential dual safeguard.
The Summer Cool Festival drew huge crowds, and while the venue got fairly warm, the on-site enthusiasm was incredible. Surrounded by photographers and fans, shooting moved at a rapid pace. The booth's floodlights were bright and easily washed out makeup, requiring frequent touch-ups and pose calibrations. Most poses were executed near the edge of the riser; lifting one leg backward looked effortless and weightless, but holding that pose actually demanded solid core stability to sustain balance. To keep the shot steady, I anchored my center of gravity over the ball of my supporting foot while lightly resting an arm against the backdrop panel for support. The photographer tested numerous perspectives from this angle before selecting these shots with clean, elongated contours.
Ambient lighting was a blend of overhead downlights and integrated booth LED light strips. In post-processing, specular highlights and blue tonal gradations were carefully preserved without aggressive skin-smoothing, retaining authentic skin texture. Balancing white fabrics against blue backdrops can easily cause color casting in-camera if not watched closely. Overall, this blue-and-white styling is tailor-made for summer convention events—the crisp chromatic pairing provides an inherent visual cooling effect that harmonizes with the theme of the booth.
