[Luo Tianyi cosplay] Refreshing Weekend Silver-Gray Styling, Casual Vibe with Green Eyes & Black Frames

Weekends always fly by so fast; it feels like it's over before I could even make plans. For this casual cosplay, I went with the classic color palette and hair accessory combination of the VOCALOID character, Luo Tianyi. The silver-gray wig, styled with her two signature coiled "horns" and tied into pigtails with light blue ribbons, looks very refreshing overall.

To match the character's gentle yet playful temperament, I specifically chose these black-framed glasses and paired them with emerald green contact lenses, which helps give my eyes great expression even under indoor natural light. The ruffles and lace details on the white top add a nice sense of layering to this anime-style fashion look without feeling too heavy, while still keeping the character's signature look highly recognizable. A few selfies in the car and at the mall serve as a record of a whole day of wandering around. Although I detoured midway to eat a heavy Chinese meal and happened to run into a black cat and a tabby cat sunbathing by the road, the overall tone and vibe still maintained that bright and clean aesthetic.

This time, I didn't intentionally aim for complex props or studio lighting; I just wanted to try this natural, life-like representation. Styling the wig actually took some time—especially the front bangs and the curves on both sides, which required repeatedly adjusting with styling spray to make sure they wouldn't fall flat while walking. Though the black-framed glasses aren't heavy, wearing them for a long time still leaves marks on the bridge of my nose, so I took them off to rest every now and then. I wore the colored contacts for six or seven hours, and my eyes got a bit dry, but it was totally worth it for the final look.

Speaking of the outfit, the neckline design of that white top is very flattering for my face shape, making the jawline look sharper, and the height of the pigtails perfectly balances the proportions of my head. The lighting in the mall and the natural light outside the car window show off the silver-gray wig's sheen in completely different ways. I'd suggest that when taking casual cosplay photos in the future, you can try out several light source positions—like the key light with a bit of side-top lighting in Photo 4, which makes the hair strands look much more textured.

As for that delicious meal, though it has nothing to do with the character, it was seriously tasty! The pan-fried dumplings and stir-fried spicy diced pork in the last photo totally rescued my stomach after a long walk. Also, the full-length mirror selfie in Photo 2 was actually meant to show off the overall body proportions and the pairing of short socks and white shoes. However, due to reflections in the mirror and privacy concerns, I later used a red bar to cover up the messy background details, keeping only the outfit part.

Overall, this weekend's cosplay experience was very relaxing, free of the pressure of rushing around or doing complex post-processing. It's completely unedited straight-out-of-camera raw photos, which actually feels closer to the character's warm, everyday vibe. If I try this anime-style fashion look again next time, I might add more variations like small braids or hairpins to the hairstyle to make the styling even richer.
