Today is a meaningful day for me; I decided to celebrate this special birthday with this special KFC collaboration cosplay look, also keeping it as a personal keepsake. Shot by photographer Banbai, seeing the final photos fills my heart with joy. As a cosplayer of my favorite girl in Honkai: Star Rail, I've always wanted to fully display every detail of this collaboration outfit.
The color scheme of this look is classic, mainly consisting of clean pure white, steady black, and energetic red. The top features a halter off-shoulder design, with a black bow tie at the neck acting as the finishing touch, making the overall look crisp and vibrant. The sleeves are not ordinary, but wide bell sleeves spliced with black and red fabric, accented with gold buttons that add wonderful layering to arm movements. The bottom is a black pleated miniskirt with a bright red underskirt, alternating red and black as I walk for high recognizability. What satisfied me most were the white tights worn on the legs and black high heels with lace-up details on the feet; they visually elongated proportions while adding a 3D texture to this anime-style outfit.
In terms of makeup and hairstyle, I chose a medium-length light pink wig that glows softly under lights, paired with translucent blue contact lenses to make the eyes look clearer and brighter. Pink blush and lip makeup softened facial expressions, pairing with a bright, infectious smile to make the overall outfit's aura lively. Props in these photos also added much color to the frame: one is a white square camera model featuring a bright red letter "K" as the most eye-catching symbol of the KFC collaboration cosplay; the other is a chibi plushie with pink hair and blue eyes matching mine, holding it added playful childlike charm to the whole picture.
During shooting, photographer Banbai made excellent use of backlighting and side lighting, creating beautiful rim lights along the edges of the pink hair and outfit. For close-up shots, I tilted my head slightly or focused on the lens, attempting to convey the character's lively feel through subtle micro-expressions. In half-body shots, interacting with the camera prop was a common gesture to emphasize prop recognition. In full-body shots, to present an energetic state, I designed poses with one leg raised or arms lifted high. Standing on one leg in high heels while keeping a smile required core strength for balance, occasionally straining muscles, but seeing the frozen moments in playback—flaring skirts, translucent white tights, and smooth, natural posture lines—made all the effort feel well worth it.
The design of this outfit is clean and sleek without redundant decorations, allowing fabric to drape naturally during large turns or hand raises. The black pleated skirt creates a beautiful curve during motion, revealing the red underskirt beneath and enriching the visual focus. This set of photos isn't just an external restoration of this collaboration outfit, but also conveys my pure, cheerful, and life-loving feelings for this character as a Cosplay daily share. The reason I love her is that she always explores the world around her with an optimistic, curious heart. Today's photo set feels like a little adventure we shared together; pouring my passion before the lens, I permanently preserved this unique birthday memory belonging both to the character and myself.
