[Himeko cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Himeko convention photo, the elegance of red hair and a white dress

This set of Honkai: Star Rail Himeko cosplay convention photos has finally been organized. Today, I mainly want to talk to you about the details of this styling and some small stories during the shoot. When I saw the finished photos, I felt that all the previous preparation and hassle were totally worth it.
Let's talk about the costume first. The overall piece is a pure white satin dress with a very good texture and strong draping feel. To restore the character's design, the skirt hem features a high slit with a red lining on the edge, which naturally shows when walking or sitting, creating a great color echo with the long red hair. A golden metal waist ornament with complex embroidery textures was added around the waist. The white high-collared neck accessory paired with the huge golden rose brooch on the neck serves as the visual center of the entire upper body. A brownish-tan short jacket is draped over the outside, with golden tassels and binding along the edges, giving the overall look both the gorgeous feel of a formal dress and a touch of capable aura.
The wig is one I styled myself for a long time. The color is a very vibrant crimson, and the length is over-the-knee. To capture the flowing feel of the wind blowing, the hair strands were deliberately made very fluffy, with a slight natural wave at the ends. However, anyone who understands long hair knows the pain points—during outdoor shooting, as long as there is a little wind, the hair easily gets tangled. Therefore, during shooting breaks, I was almost constantly using a wide-toothed comb to smooth it out bit by bit, and occasionally adjusting the fluffiness on top of the head and the shape of the bangs to prevent them from sticking to my face and looking listless. In terms of makeup, the focus was on the eyes. Orange-red circle lenses matched with red-brown eyeshadow, elongated outer corners of the eyes, and a matte retro red lip color, trying my best to fit that calm and poised temperament. A tiny bit of fine shimmer was dotted around the eyes, creating a very faint glossy sheen when turning the head under overhead lighting.
The shooting location was chosen as an indoor lobby with a relatively simple background, featuring gray floors and parallel long strip light strips on the ceiling. This cool-toned environment happens to set off the brightness of the red hair and white dress. The lighting engineer used a main light source hitting from diagonally above, instantly making the facial contours three-dimensional. Because I was wearing black patent leather red-bottomed high heels, my feet became very sore after standing for a long time, so during the shoot, I simply used a black folding chair as a prop. Sitting on the chair with legs crossed, resting my right elbow on the chair armrest, fingertips lightly touching my cheek and the neck accessory, with my left hand naturally stretched backward so that both the black gloves and the golden bracelet could enter the frame. This posture not only relaxed the legs but also showcased the leg lines through the high-slit skirt hem, coordinated with the cool light in front, bringing out the overall atmospheric vibe. The black short gloves on the hands and the lacy glove on the left side also had full details, made of slightly stretchy material with a good fit.
The charm of convention photos lies in the real light, shadow, and on-site feel. This shoot went very smoothly overall, showcasing the character's intertwined temperament of elegance and mystery through the styling, costume, and lighting coordination. If there is an opportunity in the future, I will try more different styles of convention photos.
