Cosplaying Flandre and her older sister Remilia on the same day instantly brought a double dose of joy from the devil sisters. Although the tight schedule was exhausting, looking at this Cosplay photoshoot makes it all worth it.

This time, I specifically used a dark-toned study as the background, stacking various vintage hardcover books on the shelves to recreate that mysterious yet fairy-tale-quiet atmosphere of the Scarlet Devil Mansion's basement. Flandre's dress features the classic scarlet red and white lace, with heavily crafted layered pleats on the skirt hem. Combined with plenty of ruffle details at the neckline and cuffs, it feels highly textured under the light and shadow.

To restore the character's pure yet dangerous temperament, the makeup focused heavily on the crimson colored contacts and a slight downward blush under the eyes. Paired with a fluffy short golden curly wig and her iconic mob cap with a red ribbon, I feel this little devil vibe fits perfectly.

During the shoot, I tried two different ways of interacting with the props—a bow and a teddy bear. Holding the little bear naturally brings out a well-behaved and cute side, but the moment my hand grips the black bow, my gaze instantly shifts. We tried the frozen arrow-drawing pose in photo six so many times; I had to control my center of gravity while bringing out a lightweight, dynamic motion. Fortunately, the final photo looks very natural.

Although we were presenting a pair of dangerous vampire sisters, the entire shoot actually took place by a sun-drenched French window. Touching up makeup, adjusting the wig, and eating snacks all while shooting created a fun contrast with the characters' personalities. The charm of characters in the Touhou Project lies in this coexistence of childlike innocence and explosive destructive power, leaving plenty of room for fan creation. I hope this Touhou cosplay set allows everyone to feel the unique vitality of the second mistress.
