The inspiration for this shoot comes from Phrolova's lines about the 'Ferris wheel' and 'fugue.' To restore that sense of destiny that is precisely aligned yet eternally untouchable, I placed a golden picture frame, a skull, and roses in the scene, along with the violin symbolizing the 'performance.' The contrasting red and white colors heavily test light and shadow control. This time, we used Nanguang's stick lights for rim light and round panel lights for soft light to perfectly bring out the texture of the red straps and white lace on the skirt hem, embodying the premium touch of Nanguang Photography.
The hairstyle was deliberately done with large side-braided waves, adding a touch of wispy hair to increase airiness. The mint green of the wig appears even colder under the warm red light, creating a dramatic contrast. During the shoot, I tried to imagine myself as that performer standing on parallel tracks, staring at myself in the picture frame, or lifting the skull to ponder the shape of time. The whole process was like building a visual polyphony, with each image having its own voice part.
Special thanks to Teacher Huaqi for composition guidance, and also thank you to the Nanguang team for the lighting support, giving this Cosplay photoshoot a great premium texture. Although it took a lot of effort in photo editing to unify the color tones, seeing the final product makes it feel like everything was completely worth it for this piece of Anime-style photography.
