This time, I've finally finished shooting the Akiyama Mio look from the K-ON! ED. The long straight black wig paired with a mini top hat, along with the blue-and-black striped armguards, achieved a level of restoration that I am quite satisfied with. To simulate a live stage, a moody dark backdrop paired with interweaving cool and warm lighting was specially chosen, letting the body of the bass reflect highlights and reinforcing the live atmosphere of a music anime. This Squier bass feels very solid in hand; although it's just a prop, I repeatedly checked the posture of holding the bass and the finger positioning on the frets against anime screenshots, striving not to break character on the details. Shooting a group-themed photoshoot for this kind of band anime, the hardest part is not the makeup, but how to convey Mio's contradictory feeling of being both shy yet forcing herself to look cool. Therefore, my gaze didn't deliberately make too fierce an expression, retaining a touch of nervousness and earnestness. The clothing material also took stage reflections into account, with the black velvet skirt and the white pickguard forming a light-and-dark contrast. The post-processing color tone leaned toward blue-green, removing cluttered colors and highlighting the defocus effect of the light spots, giving the entire frame the depth of a live stage. Actually, when shooting this set, even the shoes on my feet were specially matched thick-soled black boots, because Mio's standing posture in the ED is highly recognizable. Only solo shots were released this time, but the group photos featuring all members will be posted later, so everyone can look forward to the looks of the other members. Being able to completely replicate a classic stage scene from an old anime is a highly fulfilling creative process for a cosplayer.
