This set of finished cosplay photos of Phrolova from Wuthering Waves has finally come together. The overarching concept was rooted in a dark Gothic style, focusing on a primary color scheme of red, black, and white. To restore the visual opulence of the character, extensive pre-production work went into the wardrobe and props. For the wig, I selected long wavy silver-gray hair with blunt bangs, styling a thick braid along the right side accented by an eye-catching, vivid crimson Spider Lily hairpiece. Makeup centered primarily on the eyes: wearing red contact lenses paired with broad sweeps of red eyeshadow blended around the lids evoked a slightly flushed, melancholic allure, anchored by matte red lips. A black bat-shaped tattoo sticker was applied to the right arm to introduce a hint of rebellious detail.

Regarding the wardrobe, the upper body featured a white lace bandeau top crisscrossed at the chest and neck with slender red straps and pearl chains, layered beneath translucent white puff sleeves. The lower half consisted of an asymmetrical multi-tiered tulle skirt color-blocked in black and red, cascading into intricate, ruffled folds. On the legs, I wore black thigh-high Stockings wrapped externally with red crisscross ribbons extending down to the ankles, paired with red pointed-toe high heels to create richly dimensional styling. In several shots, I also wore long gloves in a red-to-white gradient along with a red leather choker, visually elongating the neckline.

To complement this ensemble, the studio set incorporated an array of atmospheric props. The backdrop featured a red brick wall anchored by a massive red gear-clock, flanked by black iron chains and wooden cross-shaped racks. During the shoot, an ornate black gothic carved throne was used, with red roses and Spider Lily blossoms scattered all around. For lighting, we applied dramatic contrasts between light and shadow, casting focused spotlights onto the subject while keeping the background dark to make the red and black hues pop with visual intensity.

Throughout the shoot, the choreography explored several distinct narrative directions. When seated upon the throne, poses mainly featured crossed legs while holding a red folding fan or a Spider Lily blossom, requiring a gaze laced with aloof arrogance and detachment. Another series involved kneeling on the floor, leaning the torso gently forward while caressing my hair with one hand—a posture that highlighted the character's fragile vulnerability and enigmatic presence. Additionally, I incorporated a violin to mimic playing, paired with downcast eyes to deepen the cinematic storytelling. Standing full-body shots lifting the skirt hem served to showcase the silhouette and fluid drape of the attire.

Looking back across the shoot, I am genuinely satisfied with the completion level of this set. Because of the abundant skirt folds and intricate straps, frequent readjustments were necessary, and the tension of the Stockings and ribbons required constant vigilance to avoid awkward pinching. The color saturation and prop harmony matched our initial expectations, and I hope this dark Gothic style visual presentation brings everyone a uniquely captivating experience.
