Here are the familiar pink hair tips and the charms of the Divination Commission again; counting back, I wonder how many times I've cosplayed this pink-haired girl. Every time I put on this outfit, it takes a lot of energy to adjust everything from the balance of the hair ornaments to the drape of the skirt hem, but the moment I see the final photos, it feels completely worth it.
This set of photos was actually shot quite early. At that time, we specially arranged a New Year themed backdrop. Bright orange lanterns layered with ginkgo leaves matched Fu Xuan's inherent cool yet ancient-charm aura perfectly. This time it counts as a group of "sneak peek" images, because I want to save the official photo set for the Lantern Rite, having already planned out the timeline in my head.
For the photography, the team used warm-toned lighting this time, cooperating with foreground blurring to add a bit of festive warmth to the cool character. The wig was intentionally chosen in a slightly brighter pinkish-purple to get closer to the fullness of the original official illustration. The atmosphere on set was actually very relaxed during the shoot; the photographer kept taking candid shots of more natural states rather than rigidly forcing preset poses, and even casually handed over a small prop to increase the sense of interaction.
In next year's plan, there are also shooting plans for Feiying and Daxilian, which are still pink-haired slots, so I feel like I can continue to stick to this track. Although pink-haired characters are easy to cosplay, the bone structures and temperaments of different characters vary greatly, making the adjustments of costumes, makeup, and props a new challenge. Take it slow; as long as the costume, makeup, props, and on-camera performance are in place, the interpretation of the character can be considered worthy of every photoshoot, serving as a memorable slice of my 2D daily life.
Since I'm showing my face with this photo first, it's also just the right time to organize my recent shooting experiences. Recent days have seen more friends getting into photography, and from time to time, I also share my post-processing ideas while editing photos. Anyway, I'll save this image first. With the festive atmosphere blessing, it counts as a set of records I like very much recently, though storing the fabrics and props for this New Year themed photography project will be another massive project.
