[Fu Xuan cosplay] Daily Routine of the Divination Commission – General, Please Stop Slacking Off

Putting on this Fu Xuan cosplay attire and standing in the traditional Chinese corridor immediately allows me to immerse myself into the diviner state of constantly needing to calculate with fingers. Today's partner, General Jing Yuan, is quite a character; he is supposed to be a mighty and domineering general of the Seat of Divine Foresight on the Xianzhou Luofu, but by my side, he turned into someone always looking for an excuse to sneak away and slack off. Sure enough, that line "General, you scoundrel!" is a heartfelt exclamation. After taking these photos together, I completely understood Fu Xuan's helplessness and tacit understanding when facing Jing Yuan.

Let's talk about the details of this costume design carefully. The long pink hair is tied into the iconic high updo, and those complex gold ornaments and bead strings are the essence of recreating the character. To support these hair accessories, a very stable framework and clips were built inside the wig. Although my neck was indeed a bit tired after a full day of shooting, these heavy-duty details are necessary to recreate that aura of holding a divination hexagram. The upper body adopts an off-the-shoulder design, paired with lotus-leaf-edged arm sleeves, carrying both the classical charm of the Xianzhou and the lightness of modified Chinese style. The long streamers on the hands and the prop mirror beautifully leave space for hand gestures.

The design of the lower body is even more a highlight of this look, with the pale purple gradient skirt appearing highly soft and flowing. Paired with the highly eye-catching white tights and that pair of color-blocked platform thick-heeled shoes, it visually elongates the lower body proportions. Wearing these shoes to shoot in the ancient architectural corridor has a great advantage; the rhythm of the heel colliding with the texture of the wooden corridor has a powerful sense of image in a quiet environment. Combined with that posture resembling lotuses blooming with every step, it effortlessly captures the character's cool yet noble feeling.

Let's talk about my partner, General Jing Yuan. The look with white hair and red strings is highly accurate, and the battle robe with a four-color patchwork of white, red, black, and navy blue perfectly supports his aura. Especially that high-slit red cloak, paired with the metal accessories and hangings at the waist, creates a powerful martial arts Wuxia vibe as the wind lifts it when he walks. The two of us standing together—one soft yet strong, the other majestic yet carrying a touch of laziness and casualness—the complementary elements make this set look incredibly harmonious.

This Cosplay photography shoot specially chose this traditional Chinese wooden corridor with strong depth. The skylight filters sideways through the wooden beams and pillars, casting interwoven light and shadow spots right onto the bluestone floor, and the ambient light on site was very soft. We deliberately captured a relaxed moment where he stood with his arms crossed and I looked sideways at him. Compared to rigid poses, this kind of interaction adds fresh life and atmosphere to the static scenery.

Looking back and reviewing these photos, I still find this collision between hardcore Chinese style and game characters highly interesting. The heavy embroidery on the clothes and various accessories revealed an extremely rich texture under natural light, and after standing for a long time, I could indeed feel that this gear has quite a lot of weight. Portraying a Master Diviner of the Xianzhou, one must not only figure out the accuracy of divination but also maintain an upright posture under heavy clothing, which is truly a highly immersive and unique experience.
