[Ganyu Cosplay] Genshin Impact Lantern Rite Blue-Haired Maiden in the Snow

The details on this Ganyu cosplay outfit were truly exquisite. The outer deep blue satin has a rich, substantial texture, spliced with black semi-sheer tulle across the chest, and the gold piping and frog closures along the edges required careful smoothing out. The black-and-red beast-horn headpiece was secured with a headband, paired with a white floral hairpin featuring metallic branches on the side, while the wig was specially trimmed with longer side bangs to flatter my face shape. For makeup, to accentuate an aloof and ethereal vibe, I blended purple-toned eyeshadow, wore pink contact lenses, and kept the blush relatively subtle.

A lot of thought went into setting up the outdoor scene. The blue oil-paper umbrella was custom-made, featuring light blue floral patterns painted across the canopy; propping it up in the background added depth to the frame. The table nearby was draped in a white cloth adorned with ink calligraphy, and the brush rest and calligraphy brushes were borrowed authentic props to enrich the set details. The round handheld fan was semi-sheer, with the blue tassels and fish-shaped pendants delicately hand-crafted from thin wire and mesh, looking wonderful in close-up shots.

It was very windy on shooting day, and the artificial snow and flower petals were blown all around, which inadvertently created a wonderfully natural drifting effect. Sitting on the wooden chair, I kept my back as straight as possible with shoulders opened up, ensuring the sleeveless, off-the-shoulder cut looked relaxed rather than cramped. The posture for holding the fan in my right hand was adjusted multiple times so that it framed my cheek naturally without obscuring too much of my facial features. The photographer used plenty of low-angle shots to highlight the leg lines and the proportions of the short skirt, where the golden leg ring looked stunning under the light.

In terms of color grading, the background was darkened overall with warm environmental yellows pulled down in favor of a cool grayish-blue tone, allowing the distinct layers of the blue hair and blue attire to stand out cleanly. Several landscape-oriented shots intentionally placed the fan and fish pendant in the foreground, using a wide aperture to blur the umbrella and background scenery for added depth. Although it was freezing cold, the light and the sheen of the fabrics held up remarkably well in the final edits, and both the sharp silhouette and the traditional Chinese-style elements met all expectations.
