Taking advantage of the travel time in the car, I completed this makeup log while preparing to head to the expo for Taking photos with cosplayers at conventions. As a cosplayer playing Furina from Genshin Impact, the focus this time was capturing that sense of lightness mixed with pride. To achieve the ideal ice-blue tone for the wig, I adjusted several grey levels before settling on it; the slightly wavy styling had to combine fluffiness and airiness, otherwise it would look stiff in front of the lens. The eye makeup was definitely the soul of the look: besides the ice-blue colored contact lenses, I repeatedly verified the spacing and size of those two unique black dots on the lower eyelid while drawing them. This insistence on details instantly gives the entire gaze more spirit.

The color-blocked dark blue and pure white fabric selected for the outfit reflected different textures under natural car light. The black lace choker around the neck sat right above the collarbone, with the teardrop-shaped Blue and white dress pendant becoming the central focal point. The long white gloves worn on both hands not only elongated the visual lines of the arms, but also echoed the character's inherently elegant demeanor. Truthfully, every time I do a Cosplay makeup and styling with a massive amount of accessories, the time cost is enormous. For the sapphire crown shown in the second photo, to keep it securely anchored on the wig, I made many small fixation points on the inside so it wouldn't easily tilt when walking around at the convention.

The joy of a convention lies not only in the final photos, but also in the anticipation during preparation and en-route travel. Sitting in the ride-share car and watching the shifting scenery outside the window, I was already looking forward to the bustling crowds inside the venue and everyone's friendly glances. While this outfit looks light, wearing it smoothly through a whole day still requires plenty of adjustments. For instance, the sleeve cuffs and neckline opening angle—a slight mistake could shift the makeup/styling effect, so after getting into the car I tried my best to face forward, hoping to leave the best state for the lens.

Furina as a character carries strong dramatic tension and artistic flair; during preparation, I looked through a lot of related materials to understand her gestures and expressions. So when in front of the camera, I didn't just casually pose, but tried to evoke the character's confident and relaxed emotions as much as possible. The moment in the first photo where I slightly tilted my head down toward the lens was my attempt to convey that languid yet scrutinizing tone. Although the soft-light filter in the second photo added a touch of dreaminess to the image, I lean more toward the direct expression of the first photo—after all, a character's brilliance needs no excessive decoration to cover it.

Going out with full makeup indeed takes some courage because of potential temperature and humidity changes during travel. To prevent the base makeup from melting, I specifically did thorough moisturizing before applying makeup and used setting spray to lock the look in. Convention sites often present unexpected situations—like queues, crowding, or being invited by friendly fellow fans for photos—all of which pose challenges to the integrity of the look. But I thoroughly enjoy this process; seeing the surprised smiles when people recognize the character and exchanging photos during Taking photos with cosplayers at conventions is the driving force behind my continued passion for this community.

This Cosplay makeup and styling aimed for a minimal and exquisite route without piling on overly flamboyant decorations, hoping to fit the character's own temperament better. The white wig paired with ice-blue shades looks even better in sunlight; although slightly restricted inside the car, I am still very satisfied with the captured texture. I can't wait to step into the hall and feel the passionate exchanges among fellow enthusiasts. The meaning of cosplay often resides in these polished details and the little moments of real-life interaction.
