From initial fitting to finalized styling, preparing for this Genshin Impact Ganyu cosplay photoshoot took about two weeks. Significant effort went into crafting the wig during pre-production; to capture her unique balance of gentle warmth and serene detachment, the ahoge strand at the crown and the placement of the crimson hair ornaments were readjusted multiple times. The costume is rich in detail—the golden bell at the neck and detached white sleeves act as key visual anchors, while the fabric exhibits subtle, varied sheens under studio lighting.
Lighting at the convention was somewhat complex, but fortunately the photographer brought professional lighting gear, which paired with the dark background to give the final shots an elevated, high-end texture. In the first shot, lifting one leg while posing near my cheek with one hand and extending the other outward naturally accentuated the lines of the black bodysuit and black stockings. Wearing black tights paired with white high heels produced high visual contrast, allowing the golden patterns to stand out vividly against the black base. To highlight the waist details, the camera angle was tilted slightly to clearly reveal the braided red cord knots and gilded tracery.
The second shot with arms raised high aimed to showcase the blue floral motifs and golden trim on the detached sleeves. This pose proved physically demanding, requiring taut arm extension while keeping the facial expression completely effortless. Because Ganyu's temperament is naturally demure and gentle, her gaze and the curve of her smile needed restraint rather than overt boldness. Yet reviewing the finished photos made every bit of effort feel worthwhile. The tailoring hugged the body closely, with the black stockings adding a touch of alluring elegance, though posture required mindfulness to keep everything secure. Many photographers on site were exceptionally professional, and our seamless collaboration ensured a smooth session.
