Based on a Genshin Impact Columbina Fan-made design cosplay in Satin ballet style, this shoot aims to present a light, dreamy visual effect. Compared to the original character's costume features, this custom design retains the core pink, white, and black color palette along with feather wings, then combines them with a more casual, dress-like design concept. Light pink and white lace fabrics intermingle to form the main layers of the skirt, while the subtle luster of the satin material allows the outfit to display high texture even under simple home lighting.
Regarding hair and makeup, I chose a black wig with pink peekaboo highlights. Natural wispy bangs frame the face, giving the overall look an added sense of youthful playfulness for an Anime girl vibe. Light purple contact lenses paired with broad pink blush and nude-pink matte lip gloss accurately convey the character's ethereal quality during close-up shots without making the makeup look overly heavy, blending naturally with everyday fashion. The white feather-wing headpiece is a signature hallmark, featuring pale pink ring details at the base that echo visually with the tulle on sleeve cuffs and the waist bow knot.
In full-body mirror shots, the layered depth of this outfit shines even brighter. To facilitate casual movement and selfies, I adjusted my posture to let the multi-tiered cake skirt fall naturally and fluffily. Broad white ribbons wrapped around my arms add a subtle aesthetic of constraint without feeling cumbersome. Matching pink platform Mary Janes pair with pale pink tights adorned with delicate 3D bow appliqué. This high degree of unity from apparel to footwear makes the overall color palette soft and naturally transitioning.
Shooting this set in a home environment mainly involved mirror selfies and handheld close-ups. Full shots completely showcase overall styling proportions, while close-ups bring out makeup details and hair strands. During shooting, I noticed how varied indoor light sources affected outfit colors—warm light gave pinks a peachy warmth, while cool white light shifted them toward cool pale pinks. This random surprise was part of the charm of shooting at home. Though this is a custom redesign based on character settings (with OOC apologies noted in original posts), such Fan-made design cosplay attempts serve as another way to interpret the character. While retaining the core demeanor of Columbina Cosplay from Genshin Impact, blending in everyday elements allows 2D characters to exude unique real-life warmth in 3D settings. Finding the right angle to present this refined yet cozy style was precisely the result I wanted to achieve.
