The focus of Ronova's styling this time is indeed on the wig. To present that highly two-dimensional white twin-tails and the upward-curling support on both sides, a lot of effort went into styling this wig. The hair roots needed to be backcombed and teased to increase the fluffiness of the crown, and the hair strands on both sides had to be repeatedly shaped with hairspray and styling spray to ensure they wouldn't collapse during the shoot. The forehead bangs of the wig were trimmed with wispy layering, designed to both partially cover the brow bone and just reveal that somewhat stern gaze. Fixing the red horn hair accessory on top of the head required even more care, using pins and hairspray to make it blend naturally with the wig's roots without any obvious flaws. Only by laying a solid foundation can the overall completion be high.
In terms of clothing, this battle robe with black and red as its main color scheme features exquisite material splicing. The chest area features a large area of semi-transparent mesh; this material is prone to reflection in front of the lens, so the lighting angles had to be repeatedly adjusted to ensure the lace edges and mesh texture on the costume remain clearly visible. The silver-white metallic accessories at the waist and neckline, although not heavy overall, have relatively sharp edge designs, requiring extra care when wearing them to prevent snagging the mesh. The red-and-black color-matched straps on the arms and the long gloves featuring sharp claw designs add an undeniable aggressiveness to the overall styling.
To fit Ronova's aura, gold-brown contact lenses were chosen for the makeup, echoing the overall dark gothic tone. The eye makeup heavily deepened the outer corners of the eyes and used a reddish-toned blush to add a slightly dangerous yet mysterious feeling. Because the costume collar adopts a high-neck design, leaving little blank space around the neck, the dimensionality of the facial contours becomes especially crucial; the proportion of highlighter and shadows needs to be delicately handled to support this cold and rigid aura in front of the lens. The base makeup chose a matte texture to avoid looking too oily or shiny under flash photography.
During the shooting process, because the overall costume tailoring is quite slim-fitting, posing required a bit of a sense of strength. I tried a posture of raising one hand in a claw-like shape with slightly bent fingers, which, combined with a direct and oppressive gaze, better showcased the character's cold traits. After actually wearing this outfit and shooting for a few hours, noticeable pressure was still felt in the areas where the straps tightened the shoulders, neck, and waist. However, I am still extremely satisfied with the final result of this detail-packed styling, and I hope to convey Ronova's atmospheric vibe through these lenses.
