When preparing for this shoot, I didn't actually set up a particularly complex background. I mainly wanted to present a highly comfortable, natural, and relaxed vibe. Unlike the heavy atmosphere originally anticipated for the character concept, this time I preferred leaning toward a daily life Cosplay share, utilizing a home photography environment to break down the sense of distance the character might naturally carry.

In terms of selecting the wig, this time I used a high-crown silver-white straight long white wig. The hair strands possess an excellent gloss and feel quite lightweight to wear, causing no pressure on the top of my head. The blue butterfly hair accessory serves as a vivid visual focal point, forming a bright contrast against the white hair and providing a beautiful color-pop effect. I adjusted its position several times; placing it on the left side happens to balance the center of gravity of the frame. Together with a white phone used as a foreground block, it adds a touch of mystery while making the composition look more gathered. The collision of these three classic color schemes—blue, white, and black—against the pure white background and carpet makes the entire photo look clean and sharp. For clothing, it was paired with the simplest black loose T-shirt and shorts of the same color. The black-and-white pairing is not only classic but also beautifully highlights the hair as the largest decorative centerpiece.

During the shoot, I intentionally chose a prone posture, using both hands to hold the phone to cover most of my face. The biggest advantage of this posture is that it can guide the audience's gaze more toward the hair accessories, hair strands, and clothing details of the upper body. Lifting both feet allows the lines of the entire body to present a relaxed Z-shape, preventing the frame from looking too rigid. The white plush carpet plays a highly critical role; it breaks the harshness that black and white clothing might bring, adding softness to the frame. For lighting, no excessively strong hard light was used, but rather a simulation of soft indoor diffuse light. This light casting on the silver-white hair presents a slight pearlescent sheen while preserving the texture of the clothing fabric. Actually, in this kind of minimalist cosplay shoot, the coordination between props and environment is vital. This time, instead of choosing complex props, the most common item in daily life—a smartphone—was turned into part of the shoot. Utilizing the reflection of the phone's back panel added a bit of metallic texture, which, combined with the gripping posture of the fingers, injected a touch of motion and a slice-of-life vibe into the originally static frame.

The overall idea of this shoot was to emphasize a "sense of relaxation." In this kind of daily life Cosplay work, emotional delivery is often more attractive than gorgeous costumes and props. There are many characters with the white hair attribute, but figuring out how to capture one's own unique style requires putting extra effort into angles and atmosphere. Though the posture looks simple, finding an angle where the arms prop up the upper body naturally without looking stiff still took some time to adjust. The white wall surface also underwent a bit of color unification in post-processing to ensure no stray colors disrupt the vision. Overall, it was a very relaxed attempt, hoping this style can allow everyone to see a more relaxed and casual side of a character outside of intense battles. Trying to restore a character's essence using minimalist elements is perhaps also a fun aspect of Cosplay.

This shoot did not use excessively gorgeous studio lights, but relied entirely on the natural light from a large indoor window. The light spills down from the upper side, beautifully outlining the layers of the silver-white wig. This type of hair texture easily looks overexposed under strong light, so during post-processing adjustments, the highlights were intentionally pulled down a bit, allowing the hair strands to present a matte, delicate texture. Although the clothing match looks simple, it actually intentionally subtracts from the accessories. There are no complex capes, armor, or gorgeous long dresses; everything is kept simple. A simple black-and-white T-shirt and shorts are used to contrast the character's lightness. Shoes and socks were completely removed, leaving bare feet on the carpet to max out the overall home photography attributes.

Many people ask me why I chose to cover my face with a phone, and it's actually not just to add a bit of mystery. In the current social media landscape, this type of photo covering the face with a handheld device brings a strong sense of immersion, making the audience feel as if it's a casual life photo shared daily in a friend's circle, closing the distance between the character and the audience. Moreover, face-covered shooting allows the audience to concentrate all their attention on the character's head and overall silhouette, avoiding redundant distractions from inadequate expression management. Although the pairing of a white base with a white wig looks beautiful, it truly tests the exposure control during shooting. I tried my best to let the white wall and plush carpet serve as the backdrop without letting the character blend completely into them. The dark clothing plays an excellent framing role here, extracting the figure from the massive area of white. The overall cycle from the initial conception of this photo to the final draft was actually very short. Perhaps it is exactly this fast-paced shoot without too much baggage that can better convey relaxed and pleasant emotions. I hope everyone likes this visual presentation completely free of distance; it might not have heavily colorful, intense scenes, but it is precisely this simple, everyday style that often makes it easier for people to resonate.
