[Atri Cosplay] Daily Life in a Sailor Suit School, Cute Moments of the Android

This shoot specifically selected a school scene to complement this sailor suit, and that sentence written in the photos, "To me, you are the center of the Earth," actually precisely reflects this character's unique inner voice.

Regarding the wig, this golden long hair is actually much more troublesome to wear than it looks. Her hair volume is immense, the iconic ahoge curve must be shaped on the top of the head, and the black bows on both sides have to be clipped symmetrically to avoid any blunders. If the wig color is too bright, it will look like plastic, but if it's too dark, it will lack that soft light feel from the game illustrations; therefore, for this shoot, a warmer-toned filter was specially paired with the lighting to give the hair strands that platinum luster.

The sailor suit is a custom style, and the white base with blue trim pairing is very refreshing. The tailoring had to be perfectly fitted, both to reflect the character's cuteness and to prevent overly obvious folds during movements. The red necktie at the collar is a highly iconic element. To match the sailor suit, I also paired it with brown leather shoes and a dark short skirt. In that photo by the classroom desk, the low-angle shot actually showcases the leg lines and the shoe pairing beautifully; this perspective not only restores the sense of depth of the classroom desks but also visually gives a friendly sense of the character being very relaxed and completely unguarded.

Speaking of the classroom scene, in order to find a classroom that was both spacious and possessed an authentic school feel, I intentionally avoided busy weekend hours to shoot. That green blackboard can actually be written on with real chalk, and during the shoot, I really erased the board repeatedly several times just to get the writing right. Small props like the set square and round-tip pens served as wonderful embellishments within the daily school atmosphere.

That photo holding the little yellow object was actually a sudden inspiration during a shooting interval, intended to express her sometimes slightly dorky and unconventional traits. For the final photo writing in a notebook, I deliberately wrote the characters a bit more rounded because, although she is a highly intelligent android in the Galgame, her personality is actually very pure, and her handwriting reveals a sort of earnest clumsiness.

In fact, for this type of school-themed cosplay set, compared to gorgeous studio scenes or complex light and shadow, it tests the photographer's grasp of emotion much more. For example, when lying face down on the classroom desk, it can't just be a stiff pose; you truly have to look like you are waiting for someone to reply to a message, or like your thoughts have wandered far away. This natural sense of looseness requires interaction with the objects or environment being shot, such as the position of the pen tip resting on the paper, or the exact split second when the gaze looks toward the lens.

Because the character itself is set as an android, while retaining her lively cuteness, there still needs to be a tiny bit of focus in her eyes. I tried my best to keep my gaze crystal clear in front of the lens, cooperating with the red colored contact lenses so that the look in my eyes appeared to possess both the clarity of a machine and the warmth of a human.

Although this location shoot took a long time, the overall process was considerably smooth. Whether it was the photographer's orchestration or the cooperation of the live environment, it fully showcased the cleanliness and cuteness of this sailor suit. This type of daily photo set is actually very durable to look at, and I hope the texture presented by the images can make people feel the character's own charm.
