The final cuts of this Genshin Impact Yoimiya Resplendent Banquet outfit are still being finely processed in post-production. While waiting, I am dropping these organized 4-panel straight-from-camera sample cuts to see how they look. The overall silhouette of this costume fits the lively and bright traits of the character setting perfectly, and the color-blocking match of bright orange and white looks exceptionally refreshing against the light blue studio backdrop.
The fabric texture of the costume left a deep impression on me. The tube top design of the upper body, combined with the exquisite 3D flowers and golden piping on the chest, beautifully showcases the shoulder-neck lines. Meanwhile, that extending wide transparent orange tulle sleeve not only recreates the lightweight and flowing feel of the festival attire in the original design but also adds a considerable amount of visual tension when actually making movements. The massive deep red bow paired with sky-blue laces tied on top of the head makes for a highly saturated color accentuation that is exceptionally eye-catching.
In terms of accessory details, this styling is also quite on-point. The golden butterfly necklace provides an excellent brightening effect on fair skin. Paired with the white lace leg ring on the thigh and deep blue patent leather chunky-heeled Mary Janes, the visual center of the entire lower body is concentrated on the leg lines beneath the skirt hem, making the overall figure look much more slender. In the second sitting image, because the skirt hem naturally drapes over the circular platform, combined with a slightly sideways posture, it better displays the static tailoring aesthetic of this costume as well as the stretching sensation of the leg lines.
The shooting session in the studio this time mainly revolved around displaying the multi-layered structure of the costume and the character's agility. The first two images adopt a relatively dignified and upright posture to showcase the overall outline of the clothing and the three-dimensional fullness of the bow. The third image tries a dance-like gesture with both hands raised; those massive orange trumpet sleeves present a visual effect akin to blooming petals when the arms swing. The fourth image adds a peculiar plushie prop with a smiling expression and a green mask; while raising it high up, I paid special attention to the angle of my arms to avoid blocking the deep red bow on my head.
For the selection of the 4-panel grid, I intentionally blended different perspectives of standing and sitting postures. This both displays the tightness of the cinched waist design and accounts for the direction of the skirt hem and orange trailing tail under dynamic movement. Although the light blue backdrop is basic, it can maximize the summer festival atmosphere of this costume in terms of coloration.
On the day of the shoot, due to worries about the bright orange fabric overexposing under intense light, we made several fine adjustments to the positions of the lights and reflectors, trying our best to ensure that the folds on the skirt and the transparency of the tulle could be truly presented. Although these four images are already unedited straight-from-camera cuts, the energetic vibe presented by the costume before the lens basically restored expectations. Regarding the support structure beneath the skirt hem and the placement angle of the trailing tail, we also spent some time organizing it on-site. The current presentation in the 4-panel grid is clean and crisp, without any extra cluttered feel. This reflects the precision required in cosplay photography.
Regarding editing, the final cuts will further process the character's skin tone, catchlights in the eyes, and some subtle clothing wrinkles to bring it closer to the exquisite feel of the Genshin Impact character in official visual art. Serving as a teaser before the final cuts, this content mainly hopes to let everyone feel the apparel charm of this Resplendent Banquet costume through these four different angles and postures. If everyone is interested in a certain part of the clothing or prop details, feel free to communicate anytime; I am very happy to share my matching thoughts and adjustment experience during the shoot. This captures the essence of the 2D world coming to life.
