This time I'm doing a Marin Kitagawa cosplay in her Succubus look from My Dress-Up Darling. The small horns on top of the head and the elf ears paired with red twin-tails, plus the black and white puff sleeves and garter stockings, give an overall feel that is both playful and carries a little devil temperament. The lighting at the anime convention venue was quite complex; the raw Convention photos were actually in a cool color temperature with blue tones. I didn't have time to adjust the white balance then, so the entire background and floor turned out with a blue glow. Surprisingly, this blue added a layer of cool freshness to the frame, forming a quite sharp contrast with the red, black, and white costume.
I also tried my best to recreate the prop and accessory details, and the texture of the plush ears and tail was handled quite naturally. What took the most effort for this look was the alignment of the wig and eyelashes; to maintain the character's lively feel, just applying the false eyelashes took nearly half an hour. For the poses during the shoot, I chose a few relatively relaxed ones. Sitting and leaning on my hands can showcase the character's casual nature, while avoiding making the clothes look microfilm or overly restrictive. The venue was quite large this time, with some cluttered booths and equipment in the background, but blurring them with a shallow depth of field conversely highlighted the subject in this piece of Cosplay photography. As a cosplay set leaning towards a charming style, I think it meets the standard in terms of makeup cleanliness and costume texture. I hope everyone will enjoy this attempt at a different color tone.
