[Komeiji Satori cosplay] Touhou Project: The Gentleness and Dreaminess Belonging to Gensokyo

Standing in front of the mirror in this outfit brought an truly wonderful feeling. Taking Komeiji Satori from Touhou Project as the reference for this look, although the overall palette leans toward bright, soft pink, blue, and white rather than strictly mirroring the original darker tones, I personally feel this pastel palette beautifully draws out the character's unique, dreamy aura in this Dreamy Lolita aesthetic.

The garment details are delightfully intricate, starting with an oversized white bow at the neckline that establishes the sweet foundation. The cuffs and hemline feature generous layers of lace and ruffles to craft a fluffy, lightweight visual effect. To match this soft feel, I specifically chose lustrous light blue lace bell sleeves, which display gorgeous layers as my arms move. With built-in multi-layered tulle petticoats, the skirt maintains a natural fluffiness even without a hoop skirt. Looking closely, the most striking detail is the circular red framed ornament on the chest with two dangling red ribbons, breaking the monochrome pastel scheme while highlighting Satori's signature character motif in this Anime-style fashion.

For the wig, I selected short pink hair to echo her iconic hairstyle from the original work. While this cut leans slightly toward a Japanese idol style, accenting it with small side hairpieces retains that delightful 2D cuteness. In cosplay, hair styling and accessories are crucial for cementing a character's first impression.

The lower body features a tiered pink-and-white cake skirt. To keep it visually balanced, I paired it with these exquisite patterned white lace stockings. The combination of lace and floral patterns serves as a major highlight, enhancing the character's delicate grace. Paired with white platform slippers adorned with large plush bows, the leg lines instantly appear slender, elongated, and full of youthful charm.

Since this was shot as mirror selfies on my phone at home, finding the right composition required plenty of trial and error. Distance between the phone and the mirror is key—getting too close causes lens distortion that shortens legs, while being too far washes out intricate dress details. In these two shots, I staggered my feet slightly so the skirt flared naturally, maximizing the layered richness of the dress and full-body proportions. While indoor lighting can be tricky, the clean white walls reflected light nicely, rendering the fabric textures and pastel colors clean and luminous.
