[Helen Cosplay] NIKKE Commander, Please Issue Orders

Putting on this white military uniform and wearing that iconic navy hat, I instantly got into character as Helen. There are truly so many details in this outfit—from the golden fringed epaulets on the shoulders to the blue brassards on the cuffs, as well as the white leather belt and metal buckles at the waist—every single part recreates the in-game setting as closely as possible. To capture the desired effect, I specially chose an indoor corridor with sci-fi striped light strips as the background. The cool-toned lighting perfectly echoes the blue hair cosplay and the white uniform. The saber in my hand is also a specially customized prop; holding it makes me feel the sense of ritual that belongs to the character. It happened to be windy during the shoot, and capturing the moment the wig fluttered really fit Helen's calm yet valiant temperament. Although it's my first time trying this character, standing in front of the lens in this gear makes me unconsciously straighten my back, imagining myself standing on the bridge commanding a battle. The photographer's lighting was spot-on, beautifully expressing the whiteness of the uniform and the translucent feel of the blue hair, and the post-processing preserved a lot of the original texture without over-retouching. This photoshoot experience was very special because the character setting itself carries a sense of professionalism and distance, so there was no need for too many exaggerated expressions; just maintaining that slightly upward-looking perspective and composed posture was perfect for this military uniform cosplay.
