[Red Hood cosplay] Let's Go Back and Fight Together! Goddess of Victory: Nikke

\"Let's go, let's head back and fight together!\" This line kept echoing in my mind right before pressing the shutter. This Cosplay photography shoot was located under solar panels in an outdoor industrial scene; the rigid metal supports and photovoltaic panels matched the character's combat lore perfectly.

In the photos, I chose a low-crouch gun-holding stance, paired with a low-angle camera perspective to maximize the volumetric scale of this heavy weapon. To be honest, maintaining such a low center of gravity was far from easy, placing significant demands on core strength, and the prop itself carried substantial weight. To find the coolest holding angle, we made repeated adjustments until body lines and weapon alignment synced flawlessly.

Great effort went into prop and costume details as well. This large black gun—from anti-slip grip textures to the mechanical layout of the barrel—was crafted with exquisite care. Handling it required extra caution; beyond constantly supporting its weight, I had to ensure the surface lacquer didn't get chipped. The outfit mainly featured glossy black patent leather spliced with a bright red lining, paired with red-trimmed over-the-knee boots. This classic red-and-black contrast delivered intense visual impact against the outdoor gray backdrop.

The iconic Red hair, black horns were key focus areas of hair and makeup. We groomed the wig for a long time prior to shooting so that it didn't just look untamed when hanging loose, but also cascaded naturally outward when crouching to form a voluminous shape. For makeup, I deliberately deepened eye makeup tones while keeping the foundation clean, complemented by dark contouring to emphasize facial structure and rich red lips, all to support the character's fully armed, cold, and composed expression.

On shoot day, we encountered soft, diffused outdoor lighting. The solar panels overhead provided interesting geometric lines while acting as a natural softbox, preventing overexposed reflection spots on the black patent leather while beautifully retaining the tough, metallic sheen of the fabric. This metal-gray environment with its oppressive tone highlighted the character's presence even further.

Only by truly putting on this gear and standing before the camera could I feel the heavy emotion embedded in that line. This portrayal wasn't merely a pursuit of appearance and props, but a genuine attempt to capture the character's resolute willpower. During the shoot, I kept recalling her scenes of returning to battle, doing my utmost to express unflinching determination through my eyes.
