Shooting off-season in winter is truly a test of endurance, especially when you have to wear shorts and a camisole in sub-zero temperatures while naturally showcasing Black stockings and tall boots. The biggest challenge wasn't finding good angles, but maintaining the character's cold, aloof expression in the snow since I was shivering from the biting cold. The pink down jacket was merely used to lend a pop of color before shots; during actual shooting, it had to be worn half-off the entire time, exhausting both model and photographer in this off-season shoot.
The glare on location was quite intense. To capture that pristine, translucent cool-toned skin in the snow, we repeatedly adjusted exposure compensation and reflector placement. The Christmas tree and red tablecloth in the background provided a fantastic color contrast against the tight black outfit. The silver bauble and coffee cup props, paired with the tail and antler accessories, put hand placement to the test. Although it was frantic having to keep the wig from gathering snow, seeing that tranquil yet slightly dangerous ambiance in the final shots made all the struggle instantly worthwhile in this Anime cosplay.
The texture of the Black stockings and boots stood out remarkably in the snow, with the red straps perfectly echoing the red bow on the tail. Close-up shots paid special attention to the contact lens color and eyeshadow smudging, striving to faithfully recreate the character's cool and maverick aura in Arknights. I was initially fretting over whether to readjust poses, but fortunately, post-crop framing neatly compensated for minor on-set imperfections. I have to say, while the snowy environment was brutally freezing, it bestowed a truly rare clarity and translucency to the final frame.
