[Seele Vollerei cosplay] Honkai Impact 3rd: Favorite character photoshoot Record - Image 1

In this shooting schedule, what I anticipated most was Seele Vollerei cosplay—because she is my favorite character, I poured far more energy into this than usual. The deep blue octopus cat plushie in my hands served as an essential prop accompanying my Favorite character photoshoot; given the character's uniqueness, I spent immense effort selecting the prop's texture, ensuring it was delightfully soft yet maintained structural support.

The wig is a gradient blue-violet bob; the vibrant ends boast great texture, and trimming required meticulous layering, adjusting millimeter by millimeter to achieve a look that frames the eyes without feeling heavy. For makeup, the focus was blue contact lenses paired with red eyeshadow and glitter accents at the eye corners, capturing her demeanor more accurately—especially when blinking, enhancing that lively yet subtly manipulative gap-moe charm.

The costume is a blue-and-white dress with floral chest accents, utilizing transparent straps across the shoulders. While they look weightless, they pinch the skin noticeably and required tape to prevent slipping. The studio lighting was abundant, but bright lights easily wash out makeup, so extra highlighter and contour were intentionally applied across my face and collarbones to recreate that aloof yet playful ambiance in this Studio photo shoot.

Throughout the session, the octopus cat and the oversized bow on my head provided a massive cuteness boost, and hugging the plushie helped me relax completely. Every time I portray this character, I revisit her nuanced personality—fragile on the surface yet possessing indomitable resilience in battle—which requires careful moderation when capturing facial expressions. Although some costume details were tricky and transparent straps don't hold tension well, it was entirely worth it for character fidelity.

Resting in the studio and watching the lights hit the blue-and-white hem, it felt as though I had stepped directly into the character's world. My small personal goal this time was to blow-dry the hair for an airier texture, which turned out great on camera. Starting out a bit stiff, after several test rounds I grew comfortable with the lens, making subsequent shots much smoother.

My love for Seele makes me eager to study her catchphrases and mannerisms, striving to convey that slightly vulnerable yet secretly unyielding gaze while posing. Every Anime cosplay brings fresh lessons; getting dressed in the studio, the exquisite styling brought immense fulfillment. I constantly think about extending makeup longevity, and this pairing of blue contacts and red eyeshadow looked extraordinarily crystal-clear against the white reflector.

During shooting, I specifically asked the photographer for subtle rim-backlighting on the hair, making the blue gradient ends appear translucent. Prioritizing catchlights in the eyes, an assistant held a reflector in front to make the blue contacts gleam brighter. For selfie angles, I tried slight head tilts and winks to look more natural. I initially feared transparent straps would look cheap, but under strobes they blended smoothly with the skin, far better than metal chains.

To prevent distracting glare from the clear straps, I lined the inside with anti-slip silicone strips to stop shifting. Every time I wear this outfit, I admire the refined tailoring of the blue-and-white dress; the cinched waist especially demands great body proportions, so I monitored my diet beforehand to capture that effortless lightness.

I wonder how everyone else feels when cosplaying their ultimate favorite character—seeing myself in the photos brings an uncanny sense of connection. Even though wigs get hot and stuffy and the skirt has some weight, for that single breathtaking moment, every hardship is worthwhile.

In between takes, I kept hugging the octopus cat, occasionally making playful expressions at the camera to blend innocence with a hint of dark charm, feeling in better form than ever before. Documenting every detail of this shoot serves as a cherished keepsake, and I plan to carry this meticulous attitude forward into future character challenges.
