For this convention shoot, we experimented with a low-key, moody photographic style. Finding a backlit pocket inside the brightly illuminated convention hall, combined with a cool-toned spotlight from above, allowed us to crisply sculpt the contours of the outfit and the character's distinct persona. Regarding the wardrobe and prop choices, the deep blue gown with a silky sheen was exquisitely tailored—the white embroidery and black pleated underskirt revealed rich, tiered depth under the light. Paired with long black gloves and a choker, her haughty, aloof demeanor was instantly established.

This styling places heavy emphasis on leg lines, so low-angle upward framing was deliberately used to make the legs appear even longer. Photo 2 boasts the most complete composition with the subject centered, flawlessly showcasing the entire silhouette curve from the neckline down to the long legs, making it my top recommendation as the lead image. Wearing Black stockings and glossy high heels while scouting angles across the reflective floor fit the aesthetic vision seamlessly. Huge thanks to the photographer and logistics crew on-site for helping scout these fantastic camera angles.

For hair and makeup, styling the light-blonde short wig took considerable effort to achieve a fluffy volume with natural curvature. To project an imposing, oppressive presence, the focal gaze and facial expression were fine-tuned multiple times. Putting on this dress and heels initially restricted movement significantly; the tall heels and stiff skirt hem demanded constant posture control while walking. Yet this exact physical constraint lent my movements a uniquely haughty elegance that resonated perfectly with the character concept.

The entire shoot was quite demanding; with dense convention crowds, we had to seek out relatively quiet corners. The light and shadow in this set are what I love most: the cool-toned lighting gave the skin a porcelain-fair glow, while the dark blue gown shimmered in the shadows with a mysterious, razor-sharp edge. In terms of frontal posing, I incorporated expressive hand gestures—such as slightly raised fingers or a glancing look back—to bring out that signature contrast unique to Salter.

Post-processing mainly focused on restoring shadow details in the garments and bringing out rich dark textures. Special care was given to highlighting the subtle sheer quality of the stockings alongside the floor reflections of the high heels, ensuring crisp visual anchors within the low-key palette. These Convention photos capture a deeply immersed moment from this event. Though convention preparation and shooting always drain physical energy, the moment you step into character makes everything rewarding. Bringing a beloved character to life, exploring the tactile details of the costume, and sharing tips on capturing tranquil lighting amidst a bustling venue made this a truly delightful experience.
