To capture the fleeting moments of fabric billowing, the photographer had me perform continuous leg kicks and lifts, shooting with a high shutter speed across several dynamic burst takes. The venue ceiling featured dense circular recessed lights; using a wide aperture blurred these background fixtures into creamy bokeh, while flash strobes illuminated the subject and dropped the background into shadow, rendering the specular reflections on the navy satin even more dimensional. Overall, for this ensemble merging traditional Chinese elements with anime styling, the more expansive and fluid the body posture, the more captivating the visual tension.
