[Shimoe Koharu cosplay] Blue Archive Doujin JK Uniform: Holding the Prohibition Sign Against Lewdness

This Doujin JK uniform styling for Shimoe Koharu—from the pink knit cardigan to the black pleated miniskirt, and up to the halo and black wing accessories—faithfully captures her signature tsundere and slightly guarded demeanor in every detail. We shot these convention photos right on the anime expo floor, where the fluffy white carpet and cool white lighting brought out the delicate pastel pink tones with crisp clarity. Holding the massive red-circle prohibition sign alongside that R-18 doujinshi added fun little Easter eggs true to the character's design. Because it's Koharu, I specifically wore a cool, composed makeup look and gaze, nailing that 'no approaching!' tsundere attitude. We had actually prepared more interactive props, but on-site, these shots felt the most natural on camera. The beauty of a Doujin JK uniform is being able to tweak styling details based on the original design—like adjusting the bow size or armband insignia—making it more comfortable for casual wear. Sitting on the white carpet during the shoot, I adjusted my seating posture multiple times, primarily to showcase the pairing of the White thigh-highs outfit with black leather shoes; this black-pink-white color palette truly pops on camera. Support staff assisting with lighting was also crucial; given the cluttered convention background, using a wide aperture to blur out distant light stands and passersby kept the visual focus squarely on the character. The trickiest parts of this gear were the wings and halo—securing them firmly without looking cumbersome—and luckily, the final result was very satisfying. Every time I cosplay, I strive to immerse myself in the character's quirky temperament, and looking through this whole set, that 'trying to refuse yet undeniably adorable' mood feels spot-on.
