[Dark Seele cosplay] Honkai Impact 3rd Butterfly of Phantasm: Journeying with an Umbrella

For this shoot, I portrayed the character from Honkai Impact 3rd with a Dark Seele cosplay, leaning into a dark Ancient style cosplay aesthetic that features bold color-blocking of red and black. The makeup included red colored contacts, matched with a black-and-red mixed wig. A distinctive feature of this outfit is its cut, tailored into a qipao-like silhouette and paired with a stocking leg garter and nude stockings, finished off with black patent leather high heels to accentuate the leg lines. The red and black accessories were handcrafted by my friend Xiao Li, including several massive translucent red flowers and the red umbrella in the background; the flowers were wonderfully textured and quite heavy, requiring safety pins to stay securely anchored during the shoot. The overall shoot went very smoothly. The photographer, Ah Bing, had an excellent grasp of lighting, especially the mood in low-key dark backgrounds. The post-processing by Jingyu was also meticulous, perfectly bringing out the translucent texture of the flower petals and the red-and-black hair tones. To convey her cool, arrogant, and tsundere demeanor, my facial expression had to remain aloof with the eyes tilted slightly upward. At the same time, I had to manage my sitting posture on the bench, ensuring the lines of the legs were well-extended. Posing with high heels to highlight long legs was tiring, but it contributed immensely to the final result. Since the props were quite large, adjusting poses on the bench required caution to avoid bumping the umbrella and to keep the giant red flowers from looking stiff. This is a style I personally adore; everything from the costume to the accessories was carefully prepared, delivering a much stronger visual impact than ordinary outfits. Although the shoot was a bit exhausting, the final photos are deeply satisfying. Xiao Li put a lot of effort into crafting that translucent petal texture, making both the shooting experience and the final product truly memorable.
