[Elysia Cosplay] The Pink Romance of the Goddess of Love in Honkai Impact 3rd

For this set of Honkai Impact 3rd Elysia Cosplay photos, the weather on the shooting day was fantastic. In terms of styling, to faithfully recreate the character's long pink hair and Pink elf ears, I had a custom wig styled, and the Pink elf ears also required adjusting the wearing angle for the most natural look since they easily slipped off. For makeup, to accentuate the Goddess of Love's sweetness and agility, the focus was placed on blue contact lenses and brightening the eye makeup, which, paired with pink-purple blush, softened the facial contours. The costume is rich in layers, featuring a white dress adorned with extensive pink gradient lace and heart-shaped accents with exquisite detail. Especially when coordinating the White thigh-highs cosplay look with long gloves, paying attention to overall line harmony was crucial; because the skirt is voluminous, sitting, crouching, and stretching poses tested both stamina and posture, as a slight misstep could lead to treading on the hem.

In terms of props, I prepared pink roses and red ribbons to complement the golden railing, creating a dreamy and slightly melancholic maiden aura. The composition of this set was thoughtfully planned, utilizing the geometric lines of the railing and the trailing red ribbon to expand spatial depth. Because the outfit was rather heavy, movements couldn't be overly broad, requiring sweet yet poised facial control. I personally prefer the three-quarter side angle because it beautifully showcases body curves—especially the leg lines—which is why I chose it for this share. During post-processing color grading, the background pinks were deliberately darkened to make the subject pop, while retaining the airy texture of the dress to give the frame a fairy-tale quality.

Throughout this shoot, we strove to capture that authentic romance inherent to 2D anime cosplay. Elysia is naturally a very lively character, so I constantly adjusted my mindset to resonate with hers. Although putting on and taking off this outfit was cumbersome and the white fabric easily caught dirt, bringing a beloved character from the 2D world into reality is immensely rewarding. In cosplay, accurate visual reproduction is one aspect, but conveying the character's inner essence is what truly matters. The harmony of red ribbons and pink roses in this set made the visual impact rich and full, feeling like an exquisite dream, striving to present the Goddess of Love's pink universe.

Adjusting poses also took considerable time—such as the stool height, tilt angle to elongate leg lines, and spreading the skirt hem into its prettiest fan shape, all requiring close teamwork between the photographer and me. The heart-shaped accessories and little heart purse were delightful finishing touches, adding playfulness to the ensemble. The way the long hair fell gracefully down my back added a tender, gentle touch. All in all, this photoshoot was a fun experience, and I hope everyone can feel this character's charm.

During shooting, I was fully focused on capturing the floating, airy lightness of the white tulle hem, and the ribbon's placement was adjusted several times; thankfully, the final result was very satisfying, with my state blending seamlessly into the atmosphere. We also experimented with lighting, using soft fill light to illuminate the face and give the fair skin a translucent glow. The petticoat was vital for maintaining Elysia's voluminous silhouette, so I chose a sturdy crinoline to keep the skirt puffy, creating a gorgeous fan shape across the white carved bench. I practiced eye contact in the mirror multiple times, as this expressive connection is the distinct allure separating 2D cosplay photography from ordinary portraits. The pink wig was actually quite heavy and, combined with the headpiece, made long shooting hours demanding; yet maintaining one's best state before the camera is a cosplayer's professionalism. Everyone holds an ideal Elysia in their heart, and I could only strive to get as close to her spirit as possible. All these detailed considerations were meant to deliver the best visual outcome. To protect the white tulle, we selected a clean setting, and the pink backdrop was intentionally chosen to harmonize with the character's essence.
