[Cheshire The Cat and the White Steed Cosplay] Blue and White Fantasy Captured in a Vintage Studio for Azur Lane

From the moment this Cheshire The Cat and the White Steed cosplay outfit was finalized, I was both excited and nervous. The gorgeous Blue and white Western-style dress with layered lace and ribbons is visually breathtaking, but during the actual shoot, its physical weight felt no lighter than wearing a heavy stage costume. In particular, the signature small white hat on my head and the hanging dark blue ribbon bow required extremely careful angle adjustments to ensure a perfectly graceful flutter with every turn or bow.

The studio photo shoot setting on the day was arranged with great care—a vintage fireplace flickered with simulated flames, a mahogany easel held a still-life oil painting, and an old-fashioned phonograph with a brass luster sat nearby. These vintage elements paired with my blue and white tulle dress, giving the entire frame an oil-painting-like quality. The makeup artist's handling of the hair streaks was meticulously detailed; the color gradient between ash blue and turquoise offered remarkably high fidelity. Combined with clear base makeup and bright blue eyeliner, it accurately captured the character's spirit.

In terms of posing, I especially wanted to capture a lazy yet elegant ambiance—such as sitting sideways at a round table covered in a lace tablecloth, sipping tea from a floral tea set, or reclining on the carpet before the fireplace. Honestly, the skirt's fluffiness was quite dramatic; when sitting or lying down, the arrangement of light tulle and lace needed constant adjustment to prevent awkward creasing. Especially when capturing leg lines, controlling the angle of the sitting pose was essential to naturally showcase the design of the skirt's slit while maintaining a slender, lengthened proportion.

This outfit yields incredible results under light and shadow, particularly where the white lace meets the blue satin, which reflects delicate shimmer under flash lights. Compared to a purely cute style, this ice princess look adds a touch of cool, high-end sophistication to its gentle charm. The photographer's control of light positions was spot-on, with rim lighting defining the edges of the tulle dress and softening my silhouette beautifully.

After the shoot, packing up this intricate costume took nearly half an hour, as every layer was embedded with delicate embellishments and lace trim. Though the process was arduous, having a work that perfectly fuses the character's beauty with the environmental ambiance makes it immensely rewarding.
