Shooting with the setting of Tamamo no Mae, although the outfit references the design from Fate/EXTRA, the overall character portrayal still aims for that mysterious yet playful aura of Tamamo no Mae from Fate/Grand Order. The most exhausting part of the entire shoot was actually securing the Fox ears and managing the pink wig. Plush animal ears like these can easily make the face look disproportionate if misplaced, so we spent a long time adjusting the wearing angle prior to shooting. The delicate golden chain of the forehead ornament is very exquisite; I was initially worried it might snag on the wig, but once worn, the result was far better than expected. The metal ring and two strands of yellow tassels naturally swayed with head movements, adding a dynamic vitality to the frame.
For makeup, to match the character's eye shape, I specifically wore light yellow-green colored contacts, elongating the eyeliner with a slight upward flick while carefully defining the subtle details of the lower eyelid. Combined with a matte foundation, this gave the facial features a striking three-dimensional contour. The top features a white base spliced with gold trimming that accentuates the waistline, true to the character's elegant yet foxy charm. The gold tassels on the obi waistband have substantial weight, so during posing, special attention was paid to their drape direction to prevent them from looking messy. The white bloomers on the lower body have a crisp silhouette; paired with gold high-heeled boots, the overall geometric lines are sharp and significantly elongate the legs in full-body shots. Although stockings aren't visible in the frame, the combination of high-heeled boots and tassels was more than enough to convey the character's graceful sway.
For the set design, an abundance of warm gold drapes and tropical greenery was used, complemented by a vintage red-and-gold chair and a white wrought-iron birdcage in the foreground. These props harmonized seamlessly with the costume's color palette, evoking the ambiance of an exotic imperial villa. Reviewing the compositions directly on the monitor on set, the raw captures already felt very pleasing. Posing for different shots went smoothly as well—whether performing the acrobatic pose of propping up one leg on the chair or leaning back leisurely while holding cards, every effort was made to showcase the character's agile and effortless poise. Throughout the shoot, although the props and accessories were somewhat heavy, seeing the final results made all the effort feel completely worthwhile. This exotic fox design is visually delightful, and when paired with the botanical setting, the color scheme feels remarkably soothing—making it a truly wonderful cosplay outfit to showcase.
