[Rem Cosplay] One-Day Store Manager Experience: Figure Lottery Giveaway Time

Today I stood behind the retail counter as a One-day store manager, overseeing the store's customer purchase Figure lottery event.

Today's look paired a pink wig with an off-the-shoulder white lace dress, accented intentionally by a purple bow at the bust. The backdrop shelves were lined with assorted mecha plastic model kits and collectible figures, creating an immersive anime aesthetic. The boxed figure in my hands was today's grand prize—the blue-haired character illustrated on the packaging is absolutely adorable. Any purchase in the store qualified customers to enter the lottery, giving the luckiest visitor the chance to take it home. Serving as store manager is certainly no small task; beyond guiding guests through the lottery mechanics, I also assisted with introducing various Anime merchandise items. Just a moment ago, a lucky customer struck gold on their very first draw, winning the Rem scale figure and nearly leaping into the air with pure excitement.

My makeup and wig were styled securely today, holding firm without a strand out of place even after standing for hours. As an avid cosplayer, taking on a One-day store manager role inside a real brick-and-mortar hobby store feels vastly different from roaming convention halls or working in photo studios. You must remain conscious of your posture at all times while staying ready to greet customers' cameras. Whenever someone requested a photo together, I gladly accommodated them, as engaging with fans is an essential part of the role. Moving around the store in this outfit definitely tested my stamina—especially with the flared sleeves, where reaching for items required careful attention to avoid brushing against model kits on the shelves. Seeing customers beam with joy upon winning prizes made the entire day deeply meaningful.

This event gave me fresh perspective on offline hobby shops. Previously, I always visited as a customer buying Anime merchandise; standing in the manager's shoes today revealed just how much dedication goes into maintaining operations and promotional energy. From preparing the lottery draw box and verifying prize inventory to explaining rules to shoppers, every single detail demanded attentiveness. When assisting guests unfamiliar with collectibles, I patiently introduced figure materials and scale ratios. Foot traffic surged around midday, requiring me to keep a warm smile while watching over counter merchandise security.

Thankfully, the other staff members were wonderfully supportive, keeping this One-day store manager from feeling overwhelmed. While this white dress is stunning, it isn't quite built for heavy floor duties; if given the opportunity to serve as One-day store manager again, I might opt for a more mobile ensemble. Still, for capturing great photos and setting the mood, this cosplay look was thoroughly worthwhile. Hearing so many customers say the styling blended seamlessly with the store's vibe was genuinely heartwarming.
