I presented a Theresa: Ambience Synesthesia cosplay at the Arknights fan screening event in Chongqing. To faithfully recreate the character's presence, I made extensive preparations with both costume and props. The tailored black blazer was paired with a white top and maxi skirt, accented with a ruby cross-star brooch on the chest, while the two horn pieces and the black-and-white-to-pink gradient wig required meticulous work to anchor properly.
Before shooting, I prepared numerous rabbit plushies, including brown ones in dapper suits and soft pink ones. Matched with a clear tote bag holding a few extra bunnies, this playful contrast lent rich visual layers to the styling. We chose a silver reflective backdrop for the shoot; the light hitting it bounced a cool white glow that seamlessly matched the monochromatic palette. Sitting on the fabric surrounded by bunnies with one hand extended toward the camera, this composition beautifully framed the leg lines and the flowing drape of the skirt.
While the venue was bustling with visitors, the space was well organized. During the shoot, I needed to fine-tune the angle of the silver backdrop to avoid harsh glare. The costume carries a stately dignity, while the off-the-shoulder cut and white skirt create a graceful drape when standing. To embody the character's aura, I maintained a calm, gentle expression, striving to capture Theresa's quiet, slightly aloof composure. Holding a cluster of bunnies dressed in colorful outfits made the process relaxed and enjoyable.
Because the weather was fairly warm, moving around in a full costume and heavy wig still caused sweating despite the air-conditioned hall, making frequent makeup touch-ups and wig adjustments essential to maintain pristine imagery. I also met many fellow fans who expressed great affection for this design. Portraying this character with such fidelity was a truly special experience for me. The reflective lighting worked out smoothly, the black-and-white contrast looked crisp and clean on camera, and the overall atmosphere achieved exactly what we had hoped for.
