A Summer Invitation with a Sci-Fi Vibe: See You at the Xi'an ACC Anime Convention - Image 1

This set of modeling photos, shot in a dark sci-fi studio, was prepared for July's Xi'an ACC Anime Convention.

Looking at the dates on the poster, it's July 25th to 26th, located at the Xi'an High-tech International Conference Center. As one of the featured guests for this event, I'd like to use this set of photos to chat with everyone about the behind-the-scenes of this outfit.

To fit this scene with an industrial and sci-fi undertone, I deliberately chose a dark blue halter sleeveless top for the outfit coordination, with black arm sleeves featuring white trim on both arms to create a strong visual contrast. The lower body is paired with white over-the-knee socks and a black strappy design, completed with white high-heeled ankle boots. This cool-toned fashion, along with platinum-blonde short hair, is perfect for a studio shoot surrounded by scattered old CRT monitors and cluttered cables during our anime-style photography.

The environment on the day of the shoot was actually quite dark, mostly relying on the photographer using studio lights for localized lighting on me. The old television behind me displaying static snow noise felt very retro by itself, and combined with the cool blue light source, the immersive feel of the entire image instantly came alive. This kind of scene really tests a cosplayer's physical coordination, as you not only have to sit in a fragmented space but also maintain a stable center of gravity, sitting sideways on one leg while making a peace sign, all while ensuring the boot heels don't step on the surrounding cables. To achieve the relaxed yet powerful posture the photographer wanted, we spent a full ten-plus minutes adjusting the light positions and sitting posture.

The offline atmosphere at the Xi'an ACC Anime Convention has always been very vibrant, and going to the venue this time, I've prepared this complete guest appearance gear. Although the combination of long boots and high heels can be a bit tiring when standing all day exploring the con, the flexible fit of the straps and fabric makes movement relatively easy. At the venue, besides taking selfies and group photos with everyone, I plan to share some small tips on putting on and taking off this kind of sci-fi style cosplay with fellow fans, as well as how to balance standing posture and a sense of power when taking photos at booths during our anime convention daily life.

Many details during the shooting process are worth reminiscing about, such as using light-absorbing materials on the floor specifically to prevent reflections in the frame. These efforts are all to bring a more immersive visual experience to the friends who follow me. It's almost July, and I sincerely hope to have face-to-face exchanges with more friends who share the same hobbies in the offline Xi'an High-tech Zone, sharing the daily life and joy belonging to anime culture. Looking forward to meeting you all at the venue.
