Today is all about shooting Sagiri Izumi (Izumi Sagiri cosplay). To be honest, this photo set was captured right before the National Day break, but procrastination delayed the sorting until now—looking back at these pictures makes me genuinely miss that pre-holiday excitement. To capture Sagiri's essence, thoughtful preparations went into the wardrobe and props. For example, this oversized white T-shirt was deliberately chosen in a larger size, styled as an off-the-shoulder silhouette to soften the shoulder contours while casually highlighting the collarbones. For the wig, I selected a silver-white fiber tinted with subtle pale-violet undertones, accented by pink bow hair clips to establish an all-around pastel macaron color palette. Most crucial of all was the asymmetrical over-the-knee Stockings (Stockings)—one in blue-and-white stripes, the other in pink-and-white stripes. This vibrant contrast dramatically elevates the 2D anime feel while retaining unmistakable character recognizability.

The shooting location was set on an indoor wooden floor layered with a white plush faux-fur rug, framed by sheer white curtains in the background. In my mind, Sagiri's room should be a sunny yet cozy, secluded sanctuary; therefore, shooting with a wide aperture slightly blurred the backdrop, allowing natural daylight to spill across the room in soft, diffused reflections. Throughout the shoot, I continuously searched for that delicate balance between shyness and quiet curiosity. Sagiri isn't fond of going outside and spends the majority of her time sequestered in her room, so facial expressions couldn't be overly open—the gaze needed to dart away hesitantly while still being drawn back toward the lens. For instance, in the set where I sat on the floor curling up my legs, curling inward with my chin resting near my knees made my silhouette appear delicate and petite. Lying flat across the floor similarly sought to evoke a relaxed loungewear state touched by cautious guardedness.

The makeup prioritized translucent clarity: the foundation was kept porcelain-pale, while bright-blue colored contact lenses enlarged the pupils to lend a porcelain doll-like finish. Dropping the outer eye wings subtly downward amplified that innocent, harmless look, complemented by noticeable blush to evoke a flushed, bashful ambiance. That green plush doll served as a wonderful interactive prop; tucking it under a leg, resting a foot on it, or balancing it atop my head made the compositions far more lively and dynamic. Seeking the best vantage points had the photographer crouching and lying flat on the floor, while I held awkward poses that look effortlessly sweet but are physically demanding. That pose stretching one leg out, for instance, required tensing core muscles to flatter leg contours while keeping the torso looking relaxed, leaving my back quite sore afterward. Yet seeing the soft, fluffy texture across the final cuts made every ounce of effort worthwhile. This set aims to deliver a refreshing, soothing indoor loungewear atmosphere—hope everyone enjoys this quiet Sagiri daydreaming in her room.
